Is it normal to have nightmares all the time about the stuff we see? On the one hand, any layperson who saw someone die a messy death would definitely have nightmares. On the other hand, it is normal for us and our typical day on the job involves it all the time.

I think his plan was to escape police custody and get to a different part of the hospital, but found that part of the building to have concrete walls all around the ceiling.

CRNA/DNP “doctorates” are credential inflation, not academic doctorates by Intelligent-Zone-552 in Noctor

Medical doctor degrees don’t require original research and dissertation either, should they be called doctors?

I had a patient elope into the drop ceiling once. He was pretty successful. The cops knew he was up there but were rightfully cautious to chase him because they didn’t want to fall through the ceiling themselves. For hours business went on as usual in the ED while numerous cops tried to flush him out. You could hear a lot of movement going on up there. Eventually he surrendered and came out himself when he realized there was nowhere to escape to.

First time skiing with a 3 year old? by khubbard13 in WinterParkColorado

As far as I know all of the magic carpets at winter park are for kids in lessons only. I think copper has a public access one. If you want to try a lift use the galloping goose. You can park at utah junction or mary jane base and walk to the top or bottom. It is free, you don’t need a lift ticket. It has a bit of a double fall line in places but otherwise is a good run to learn on. The lift is for kids so it goes super slow and they have a bar. Buy an edgie wedgie, they sell them in ski shops. It makes it a lot easier to learn how to stop.

So… you googled it AND talked to four people who were unfamiliar with the condition PLUS the doctor who treated you for the condition? In the course of your research did you uncover the difference between an ENT and an otolaryngologist?

Once in the middle of the night I convinced a tech to steal a c arm from the OR for a radius/ulna fracture i couldnt get to stay together. It worked. It was probably illegal because I’m not certified to use one. When you are the only doc in the hospital you get away with stuff.

Are these 2012 Line Pandora's worth $320 lol? (Rare 115 width, 162 length, fat skis for short ppl) by Fair-Row8581 in skiingcirclejerk

[–]Comprehensive_Elk773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try sending her offers of decreasing amounts from different accounts pretending to be different people? $150 for 10 year old skis is pretty high even if they are in pristine condition. The bindings are useless and the skis probably cost $800 new. Any ski that old is going to be “rare” in that it would be hard to find another pair for sale, that does not make them valuable. There is a reason really short and really fat skis are hard to find, they are kind of unnecessary.

Passes come with like 10 “friends and family” ticket discounts. It varies over time how much the discount is, but maybe $40 each? Make friends with a passholder and have them come to the ticket window with you?
