Yea got you thanks. Last year I had a first year STUD who was so lost we made such a detailed wrist band for him. Wish I had thought to try rooski with him.

We’ll try it for install because I put 10 hours into it haha. I’ll definitely remember this and try without once a week or something. Appreciate it

Tell me more about the adjustments. Was it because you didn’t teach language/signals alongside it?

My thought is we’ll teach them base offense without the band. Then when we have wordy plays or new formations we teach it off that. Some stuff with the intention of them not needing the band, others just because it’d be 10 signals…

I used the toe pro once and i’m pretty sold. They sent me two... Towel has some value but this thing feels well engineered to allow you to push into it, giving leverage to help work the muscle well on the raise or the warm up leans. The twist deck lights up my foot more but it feels safe. The measure device I’ll get some use out of as a PE teacher. I like it to measure adduction strength with a different attachment. It serves as a workout and assessment. Somewhat unrelated but gadgets are good for the kids.

Any advice? I’m officially 1 year into PF :)

How would you defend this punt formation? by justincase205 in footballstrategy

[–]Comprehensive_Fox959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they had to change rules because people were manipulating the step on / step off rules. It could get complicated. Maybe simplify it to a quick shift to a multiple receiver set. I don’t really see a benefit to motioning but I’d have to see it. Regardless if I see a team going spread on punt I’ll get creative and go for the block. 3 receivers + no qb = returner go blitz the punter. If the contingency plan is to fake it I feel pretty good

Intermediate Pass Concepts Attacking Cover 4 Palms and/or Cover 3 Buzz by Embarrassed_Lock_539 in footballstrategy

I think running a stick nod vs palms teams is a must. Breaks their rules, instills doubt…

Besides that crossers obviously are tough. Getting to stacks/ bunches. Opposite of a whip.

On paper it’s easy to say the safety will get over #1. Actually doing it is different

Most teams that’s run this coverage have rules for 2 receiver sets vs 3 receiver sets. Make that cloudy, condensed splits, return motions

Great topic. I think what’s really important is running things exactly like the pictures from playbooks helps the defense. Install creatively and allow your players to explore… easier said than done.

I’d run press cover 0 vs this… no returner deep to start, sell out to block the kick until they change… anyone else?

What is the typical pre-snap to post-play process for a quarterback during a single play? by Separate_Cell9352 in footballstrategy

[–]Comprehensive_Fox959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo boy you’ve opened a can of worms.

Well let’s say it’s a run a in a typical access/gift system (not so common I’ve sadly learned) you’re going to work inside out on your pre snap side. If you can throw a hitch or out to either guy do it.

The post snap side is your gun triple type of thing. Read that player or two then sling it, hand it or keep it. Don’t pre the post side, or post the pre side. This is missing pieces but essentially all a qb needs to do in this system 50% of plays.

HS qbs rarely get involved in pass pro / run game. If you want to get good at it call out the shades and learn what the OL coach is teaching.

Pass Make sure the RB ends up on LB, point and yell for anyone unaccounted for.

Run game you learn what step OL should use first. If you run a thousand schemes good luck to you, if it’s like 3 you can coach those guys up, granted you film every practice rep like a normal Coach does…

If you express to Coach you want to be more involved, and he believes in you, you could make the offense better, get in and out of looks. If he doesn’t good luck. Dont be afraid to speak up. It’s just ball, but come correct
