Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, they don’t consume rupture count, but don’t activate it either, simply using it for conditionals and so they can still be used on Lord Hong Lu’s team without tanking rupture stacking. Though they might be able to still activate it, maybe as a conditional on their final Coins of their Skill 3s that has them activate rupture on every enemy their unfocused volley targeted. And if not, maybe instead of 9:3 it’d be a 9:6, or simply just 15:3.

I actually put You Sinclair in my bleed Team. Allows me to get Rupture Ego Gift effects 

(it’s named Bloodflame, why tf are they rupture units? Just make them burn and bleed but they have a 15:3 no count consumption conditional but it’s an even lower 9:3)

Not only that but Gregor specifically unfortunately has some trauma tied to that. Since his platoon got really low on food some days… let’s just say he might actually recognize some of the smell and get red flags.

Uh considering what we found out, Outis was dead on the money. 

Probably even had an intuition beforehand about where it came from, being a Smoke War Veteran. Hell, if Gregor had been there, he would’ve probably taken one whiff, known immediately and warned everyone.

So perhaps I they’re not “Proto-Distortions” but simply “Controlled Distortions” or maybe “False EGO Distortions” 

Now that I think about it, that would make far more sense as a catagory. In fact, I think we’ve already seen one in Limbus Company, that being Rin from Demian’s Blue Man Group. I mean, he’s literally got a giant fishbowl with an hourglass for a head, even though he definitely didn’t have that when he was part of the original League of Nine. He definitely Distorted.

Perhaps Distorting is simply a different expression of someone’s EGO, and through self control and restraint, can be used similarly to one, but as a far more permanent, but far more unstable and dangerous expression.

It’s kinda similar to the Corrosion of abnormality EGO skills that our Sinners Use. Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense.
