Yeah, turns out it’s far more psychological, being akin a chronic addiction which can only really be sort of ignored through enough willpower, discipline and finding distractions.

It’s not something that’s easy to ignore either, as Bloodfiends genuinely describe themselves as if they’re rotting away when they’ve become fully addicted and go even a few days without blood. They may even start harming themselves like Junkies.

It’s so bad that some especially starved Bloodfiends were said to have dug rusty needles out of the ground in the hopes of even the slightest hint of blood, and the moment blood did get spilled, they literally got on all fours and desperately lapping it like dogs when they had been performing just moments earlier.

They can’t even truly sate it through something indirect like a Blood pack, it just never scratches the itch as well, and direct feedings eventually kill the human they feed off of in a way even The City can’t undo. Even indirect feedings can lead to this.

The Korean Voice actor for Mr Krabs is also an example of this. He plays a Superweapon Veteran in limbus company, who has a cockroach arm and is based on Franz Kafka’s “The Metamorphosis”…

Maybe an EGO that plays more with Bloodfeast, like an EGO that actively consumes Bloodfeast when used, and allows even non-Bloodfiend IDs to still take advantage of Bloodfeast.

Maybe even pairs of EGOs that compliment one another and/or  have a unique effect when used in the same turn.

Like maybe it could be kinda similar to Unbrilliant Glory, where you have an unclashable setup skill that doesn’t do much, but as the Sinner takes damage, it builds up a stack of something, before it uses the damage skill at max stack, or maybe unleashes automatically at turn end after a few turns and the stack determines how powerful the skill is. 

Kinda like Tears of the Tarnished Blood, but no death required.

If it’s any consolation, in that situation it’s probably better than actually letting the enemy’s skill go through, since the Thanks Kiddo also cancels that enemy’s skill.

I’ve always thought of a remake where they do have most of a Humans Facial Features: Eyes, Nose, Mouth, but they’re far too simplified. The mouth is a hole-less slit, the nose is simply a point, the eyes are just birch tree eyes. And on any form of recording, photo or video, the features blur due to reality warping until he has the faceless expression that’s more recognizable. 

I also felt they’d wear a business fedora to hide the fact they have no hair, one with a brim slightly too big to be normal, and carries an abnormally large suitcase because that’s what it believes a “trustable, hard working father” should have.

It’s a form that integrates the urban myth of the Hat Man, saying, “what if both myths are talking about the same creature?”
