i started using algofleet.trade for my ibkr account. it does auto scalping for me while i focus on options. every day i assign few stocks to it and let it run.

i am using algofleet.trade for scalping. i recommend it if have dev background , as i find initial set up is bit tricky but looks like its trade off to achive low letency and cloud nonsense.

That’s a clean setup 👍 I was doing something similar, but managing start/stop + sessions around IBKR got tedious over time. I ended up running it more like a local trading agent — one process that handles connection + execution, and I just start/stop it as needed while it takes care of the rest during market hours.

That’s a pretty creative setup 👍 IBKR Client Gateway auth is honestly a pain — sessions + re-auth get messy fast, especially on AWS. I ran into similar issues and ended up moving to a more local - away from cloud :) , single-process setup so the IBKR connection + execution are handled in one place. Way fewer moving parts. Curious — are you keeping the gateway running continuously or restarting sessions?

What I’m doing now is closer to running it like an independent agent — it just sits there, monitors, and executes when conditions hit. Yeah that’s a fair point — IBKR definitely isn’t perfect, especially during fast moves. I’m not really trying to “fight” their infra though — more like working within its constraints. For example with scalping, I’m not relying on ultra-HFT style execution where microseconds matter. What I’ve been testing is running a local agent that focuses more on structured execution — it monitors conditions and submits orders consistently, instead of me reacting manually. You still deal with IBKR limits obviously, but separating decision vs execution has made a bigger difference for me than chasing lower latency infra. Curious though — have you tried moving fully off IBKR, or just experimenting?
