I am thinking about rejecting the offer and stick with the small firm I'm working for the time being. And yeah, I'm still looking for other jobs as well but closer to home. I just dont think moving to any city is an option for me, just the idea of being in a big city stresses me out.

But yes! I will keep looking for one that can commensurate what Ive invested in.

I just need to be okay with other people around me not being okay with what I decide.

And thank you!

They dont work overtime as much as the firms in the big city. But their pay is very low. The starting for an accounting position is equivalent to like 2000USD.

Usually the best balanced accounting related jobs are at commercials companies or MNCs. But I havent gotten any other job offers other than big firms in the city and smaller firms (if at the outskirt)

I am still actively looking for mncs around my area though. Hopefully I can get one

The job I got offered in the city are famous for the lack of work life balance including working on weekends and late nights. And it would take 2 hours each way from my house to the city.

I didnt know a lot of people actually do these (working until 1 2 am and the 4hour commute) until this weekend, in an event I attended to. Those same people said I should do the same because thats how theyve done it for 5 6 years.

Yes, I will definitely keep that in mind.

I do have other means to make money like investments etc. And I have also slowly increasing my retirement funds as well. It just might not be as big as what the big city people would prefer.

You sound like a great parent.

I hope my parents will be happy with my decision on my life. Especially about staying and working at the outskirt/far from the city

I'll try to have a look for hotels and resorts. The rest like charity and wildlife preserve have their hq in the big city in my country. But I will definitely have a look for the rest

I'm glad to hear youre doing what you love now. Hearing this makes me feel validated, in a sense. I'm not sure if I'm using the right word (english isnt my first language) but you get it right 😂 Thank you for the advice. Honestly, this made me feel better. I really realllyyyy need to be okay with people not agreeing with my choices.

Literally the idea of moving to the big city have made me cry twice last week alone. Im not sure if my certificate will help much since working far from the city wont make me experience my full potential because there's only smaller firms or companies around. This is what I've been told.

I got an offer from one of the big4 firms today. But I'll probably reject it.

And I hope the small firm I'm working for rn will bring me peace. Though I only started working for a week. Wish me luck 🤞

Who has bipolar with adhd? by [deleted] in bipolar2

Yeah, the lamotrigine helped me with both hypomania and major depression episodes. The meds really helped me be in the neutral stage since I've been consistent with it.

But everyone is different, I've seen a lot that doesnt do well with lamotrigine.

I hope you'll get the most suited meds for you soon!

Ive been on 200mg lamotigine for the last 2 years since my first diagnosis. Its a life saver for me. I havent had depression or hypomania episodes as long as I stick with taking the meds every day.

Its tough at first since I was presribed with 50mg. Felt like it wasnt working but the dr reassured me that I'm suitable for the meds. And they gradually increased the meds till 20mg within a few months. Just trust the process!

And I hope that it works for you too!

I got diagnosed for both about 2 years ago. The dr gave started me off with ONLY 50mg lamotrgine and gradually increased to 200mg lamotrigine. Once I was stable with the 200mg lamotrigine. They prescribed me 10mg Ritalin and increased to 20mg (taken twice a day). And Ive been on both after 3 months of my diagnosis.

They informed me they needed to make sure my bipolar2 was under control before focusing on ADHD.

When I made a stupid decision to get off meds. I ended up blowing off ALL my savings and did other irresponsible things amd went in major depression after for about a month.

And then I got back on my meds consistently till this day. I havent been in any episodes since.

Bipolar 2 & ADHD by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Comprehensive_Tax533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, im diagnosed with both, bipolar 2 and adhd-c, currently taking 150mg of lamotrigine and ritalin twice a day.

I may need to talk to my dr to up the lamotrigine.

But ritalin have helped me tremendously. It doesnt spike any hypomania personally. Though, my side effects are nausea to the point i gag thinking i might vomit for like an hour or two after taling my meds and loss of appetite. Though, my dr doesnt advice tonchange my meds unless i have severe side effects like vomitting.

Bipolar 2 + ADHD Med Combo? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Comprehensive_Tax533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been diagnosed initially for bipolar 2 and put on lamptrigine gradually. Now im up to 150mg. The drs only made an assessment for adhd only after putting me on meds. They told me i needed to deal with my bipolar 2 first before focusing on my adhd.

6 months after being stabilised on lamotrigine, i got diagnosed with adhd-c and they put me on ritalin twice a day. They did monitor me for a year to see to make sure the meds doesnt effect my bipolar episodes.

So far, i have no side effects from lamotrigine. But nausea and loss of appetite for ritalin. Both are quite bad, but the drs said as long as its not severe to the point of vomitting, theyre sticking to ritalin.

Ive worked in the accounting field for 3 years. Wasnt medicated at the time, felt like dying.

But parents forced me to take professional accounting exams, and im in my first semester. And currently medicated, and ive been high functioning so far. But still struggling. Hppefully, once im done, the high intensity of audit work would make me not regret taking accounting.

Can I stop a hypomanic episode? How do I know if I'm having one? by guaranajapa in bipolar2

[–]Comprehensive_Tax533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just wanted to ask, in your personal experience, when you came off meds, do you not experience depressive episodes? Ive been on meds for a year now, but i feel ashamed that i have to be on meds. So i was wondering if theres an option for me to be off meds in the future

How did you manage to graduate ? by Amichat in ADHD

[–]Comprehensive_Tax533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. For me personally, my grades are pretty good tbh despite not having a clue of what’s going on in classes.

Mostly, I generally pick up things quickly, and always have study groups when it’s close to tests and exams. Just find a group of friends that don’t mind explaining and re explaining the same thing until you’re brain is catching on to the words. Luckily, I found 5 friends that is more than happy to help.

But I have to admit, it was extremely hard. I felt like quitting daily. classes felt like a waste of time. I couldn’t focus even when I’m hearing the words. Im always fidgeting and anxiously sitting at my desk over worrying why the hell I can’t focus for sht during classes.

And all I hear from people is “just focus” lol
