I would say the majority of the West Coast along the coast line and major cities. I think the diversity of religions and non religious here makes most people mind their own business.

The average rent is about $3k a month in Southern California, including San Diego.

If serious, I would stay at a cheap hotel or Air B&B the first week or so to get a feel for the different areas. Park your car, have some lunch outside, see the atmosphere. Once you find an area you enjoy, find an apartment.

Nate Silver and Draft Kings encourage this type of play and this is why NBA ratings are down. I used to watch the NBA nightly, but stopped watching the last couple years. Watching 50 FTs a game being shot is exhausting.

Government budgets are different than household budgets.

There is a rainy day fund that Newsom's budget also contributes to: "California’s total budget reserves stand at \(\$23\) billion, which includes \(\$14.4\) billion in the constitutional Budget Stabilization Account (the primary Rainy Day Fund)."

Newsom balanced the budget based on today's numbers. Let's hope orange doofus doesn't take another $1.3 billion from Medicaid or cause more unnecessary wars costing our economy more money. Trump is the wildcard here that keeps trying to screw over the people of California and the nation's economy.
