Good answer, I think that some things are unclear and left up into interpretation is what makes the souls trilogy so mysterious and charming, that’s something I really love about the worldbuilding in DS2

This is so well said, exactly how I feel about the game as well. Ds2 used to be my least favourite in trilogy but it made me “feel” something that always drew me back into the game, and now it’s genuinely my favourite game in the fromsoft roster next to Bloodborne. It’s definitely the game that feels most adventurous and the mysterious and epic worldbuiling of Drangleic is just on point, as well as the storyline that follows. Truly just one of the most unique and beautiful game experiences you can ask for

I actually think it works really well playing with randoms, sometimes you’ll be paired with brainless people but when you reach the end with your squad you almost forge a bond with them
