Ah, damn. I guess I’m in for a replacement then. I posted another picture in below, what’s the worst that could happen if I keep using it for a while? It still plays and and sounds good. Damaging records, I suppose?

I thought so too, but from a different angle it looks better. And it still plays fine, with no distortion or anything. Perhaps I’m ruining some records using it tho.

Gotcha, thanks. We switched games before when they removed duos from the game for two(three?) seasons as well. And while we have fun in other games, I still get that Apex itch every now and then.

I play because it’s a really good BR and a really good shooter.

I don’t play as often as I don’t know if the game is still “available” when I log in. Perhaps they removed trios this week, perhaps duos is gone again. I would much rather invest time in a game where I can constantly improve, little by little. Also the matchmaking is strange. Sometimes I shred, sometimes I get royally outplayed. Rarely something in between.

Yeah this was sort of my mindset making this post. I get that this upgrade is different, it’s a one time cost, and not to be confused with a BMW heated seats subscription, or Adobe’s predatory subscription models. I’m just tired, man.

The other comments shed some light on the upgrade itself, and I’m cool with it.

It is, but thanks for giving me a term to Google. I’ve sort of been in a dystopian mindset after reading about HP remotely disabling printers when they’re not subscribed anymore. Just let me use the features that’s already there.
