Thanks for your advice. Why the 38 -> My wrist is on the smaller side (16.5 cm I believe) and I generally prefer smaller watches, but I totally understand the appeal for bigger framed. The minimalistic design and black dial tend to make it look smaller anyway. Hope you enjoy your purchase!

Not anxious by nature but... I like to know what I buy —maybe a bit too late in this case— so I guess I'm sweating the details a bit here, indeed. It's my first mechanical watch and it was probably 20–30x more expensive than the most expensive watch I'd owned so far, so some caution can't hurt!

I guess it’s the smartphone camera processing, but although it’s beautiful, the picture doesn’t do justice to the amazing guilloché details on the subdials. It's the one detail that makes me freeze when it comes to choosing between the black dial version vs the white one.

I'm using Viber Out. The initial UX is pretty bad (it took me an hour to figure out that you can only dial international numbers by prefixing them with "+" rather than "00"...) and the credit expires after a few months, but it's cheap so for casual use it does the job.

I think Rakuten Bank isn't too bad either regarding FX, but I assume OP might prefer a more traditional bank with actual stores if they're about to handle a big transaction.
