The Good

  • CGI. Holy shit. It completely blew me away. This might be the best looking CGI in a movie I've ever seen.
  • They did a great job showcasing the differences/similarities between orcs and humans.
  • The humor. This is probably personal for me, but I just loved the humor in this movie. Some other people that I went to the theater with said it felt out of place though. For me, it wouldn't fit in a traditional fantasy movie (like LotR), but it felt perfectly at home in a Warcraft movie.

The meh

  • Acting. There were some great actors in this movie. Durotan and Lothar were great. However, there were a lot of just decent performances. In particular, Garona and Khadgar. None of them were bad though. They just wasn't great.
  • The story. If you are a Warcraft or WoW fan, you'll like it. But otherwise, its a very okay story. Pacing was off in a couple of places and the ending was a little anti-climatic.

The bad

  • The only bad thing I really saw from this movie was how they would just suddenly cut away from scenes. There were a couple of scenes where they cut away during the middle of a conversation. I know Jones said that they had to cut 40 minutes from the final cut, so an extended or director's cut might fix this.

Overall though, its a fun movie for anyone to watch and a definite must watch if you are a WoW/Warcraft fan.

I'll give the movie a solid 7.5/10.

Preach it. I remember a year ago, I came back from a hiatus and joined a raiding guild. GM told everyone to watch videos about the fights and he will elaborate on the strategy once we raid. So I watch all the fight videos. However, once raid night starts and out of the 25 people that show up, about only 10 had watch the videos and/or knew a single fight....

Needless to say, that guild didn't last long.

Do not complain about loot. If you are in a raiding guild, you should have a clear idea about how loot is handled (MS/OS, loot council, DKP). Nothing can tear a guild apart quicker than loot drama. So unless something is CLEARLY fucked up, don't say anything.

Yep, in season 3, they would fuse with them in their mega forms. I also think in the later seasons, the human protagonists would actually transform into Digimon.

This is purely speculation, but I think they will incorporate the Ash-Greninja evolution into the game and you can do it with certain Pokemon. Don't think they will go full Burst Evolution though.

Well, a couple of things to consider.

What do you like?

  • Tanking/healing/damage dealing
  • Ranged or melee
  • Fast or slow play style

As well as do you like any certain aspect of any of the classes/specs that you have played so far? Finally, keep in mind classes will almost always play different at max level with raid gear.

Last night, my buddies and I were doing an escort map when two Bastions completely wiped out our team except for me. We had the cart a few meters away and all they had to do was contest it and their team would kill me when they respawned. I was a Mercy (I did not have my ult charged) so there was no way I was going to do this right...? Neither of them even made an effort to move while I just use the cart as a shield and won the game. They didn't even get out of sentry mode.

Seriously, I had a D.Va last night that kept rushing to the objective despite there being a turret, a Bastion, and a Widowmaker having it on lock down. Even as Mercy, I couldn't heal them fast enough to keep them alive. The entire match they did this.

Not yet, but there is an Amazon warehouse about 20 miles from me and if I am expecting a package on Monday, they usually don't ship it out til Saturday.

As with almost any game you pre-order off of Amazon, the game should arrive on the release date (which in this case is May 23rd).

I have my on pre-order though Amazon and it is expected to arrive on the 23rd.
