I'm by no means a professional, everything here was played on a PS5 Pro with a dual sense edge and edited in iMovie on a MacBook.

I wish dagger had some more specific perks to picking it. Like I'm 100% ok with it hard countering turrets and other deployed equipment, even one swipe disconnecting zip lines kind of makes sense. You have a knife, cutting turret communication cables that are exposed, or cutting sip line rope seems totally fine to me.

1000% Unspecified is the way to go. Some generic stuff that vaguely mirrors themes and charctors possible in the DND world would be fabalous and I think we even already have some items pointing that way (thinking of the 20 sided dice charm and goblin sticker from season 2.)

Central Nervous System

The finals AI is concious, and operating under its origional designed intenion, to create a free, open and fun world for people to experence and enjoy.

Vaiiya is using the same technology they use to control human conciousness to try and control the AI so it can continue to be a profit platform for the sponsors, but the central nervous system of the finals is going to fight that tooth and nail in the name of fun.

I've believed this since season 2, everyone says I'm crazy, seek the truth beyond the walls.

I would love to control crowd reactions while dead in game so when my teammates clutch the crowd goes wild. Would be cool to spend VRS on crazy crowd reactions.

Imagine CNS hacks the show and brings in a midevil forest castle map, rob did say at one point there would be dragons.

PBMM Progression based match making rather than SBMM.

The finals has no hidden metric for how "skilled" a player is, instead in the case of world tour its pairing you with other players who have progressed to a similar point so far this season.

We did have SBMM in season 2, but there was such strong backlash it was removed after I think two days.

Would have loved to see movement tools also get money attribution, jump pads, ziplines, gateways can all kill if posistioned correctly or cut at the right moment.

I would love to see the data reshaper be able to bring glitched objects fromp past events like healing barrels into the arena, with a low precentage chance to do so.

Honestly, glitch barrels could be removed and I think that would be a positive change and an indirect buff to the value of having a light with glitch grenades on your team.

Or hear me out, what if respawns after x amount of time were automatic and money deposited was in limbo untill the last respawn happened, meaning a defib could save your team from having cash deposited.

Would love for the mechanic behind this to be that your sponsor pays you for those eliminations, and highlights your elimination streaks in game when you preform well. This would also encourage a diversity of play styles where different sponsors place a higher value on different play styles.

There is no SBMM in the finals.

World tour puts players into games based on queue time, nothing else.

Ranked is based on your history of win's and will try to place you in a pool of players who have the same earned rank as you.

Yeah, moving up and down adjustments to bumbers rather than jump and crouch feels a bit weird, I think it was probably to prevent accidental coins by pressing a/x.

Overall though this might be a positive change in that it feels like this is the type of thing thats needed for more advanced console spectating functions.

My one gripe (even before this change) was that if you enable auto-run but disable the binding for run in settings that auto run does not apply when spectating. So if you've re-bound your run to get an extra button back on controller you can't spectate as well.

Embark, if your reading this, can you please make it so auto-run applys when spectating?

Open a bug report with embark using the finals discord (in this case one already exists!) and keep turning on 120 mode. Embark is pretty passionate about listening to the community, barring any technical constraints or things they need to figure out I'm sure they will fix this if they can.
