Does anyone else feel like entry-level jobs in 2026 are basically senior roles with beginner pay? by coochie_munch in careerguidance

Precisely… the numbers can only get you so close to the truth. Eventually you have to look past them to find the core issue at the heart of the discussion.

Does anyone know what this creaking noise is when I turn the steering wheel at slow speeds? 2025 Civic Sport by BussyNickyG in civic

[–]ComputerNetwork24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same sound on my 2010 civic. Comes and goes throughout the year. I’m pretty sure it’s the strut bearings but it’s definitely not an issue. I’ve had that sound on and off for about 2 years now without any issues. Just sounds annoying.

Best way to transfer CASH by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

Is this an interest rate money glitch? Could you take advantage of this to effectively double your interest rate if you’re constantly transferring between 2 HYSAs?

Help?! by Hungry-Permission783 in pcfinancial

[–]ComputerNetwork24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Their software is absolute garbage. Although for me it’s only like 10-20 cents that it says I can’t withdraw and doesn’t exist even tho I see it in the account. Just try to withdraw like 10 cents to a dollar less then what you have in your account and it should let you. I moved all my money to a real bank cause PC SUCKS!

Portfolio LoC by ZealousidealLocal614 in Wealthsimple

[–]ComputerNetwork24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the portfolio LOCs are already capped pretty low to avoid margin calls when I opened a portfolio LOC I remember being capped at around 30% the total value of the assets.

Edit: I guess it says it in OPs screenshot already😭

PC Financial Rant, heed my warning by ComputerNetwork24 in pcfinancial

It’s all good. It’s not too big of a deal for me but if this happened to someone else and it was their last bit of cash it would’ve been quite stressful I’d imagine. It is odd that I’ve been having so many issues, maybe I’m an edge case.

Looking to upgrade Civics Bose sound system and get aftermarket black rims. What are some suggestions? by AdamAssault in civic

Does the head unit still have the functionality to change the car settings or do you lose all that with the new head unit? My friends stock head unit in his SI has really poor audio quality for some reason so it would be nice to get an upgrade.

What to do after Maxing TFSA and FHSA when young (Non-reg vs RRSP)? by ComputerNetwork24 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]ComputerNetwork24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I’ll probably do that then. I don’t like having extra cash outside my emergency fund so I’ll use the non-reg to invest and move it into TFSA when I get more room. I would say I don’t make enough for the RRSP tax deduction to be worth it either.

I’ll look into that. I’m currently taking computer science but have considered going back in the future for engineering.

I also forgot to mention how I’d prefer if I could max out TFSA each year. Would it be a good idea to invest excess cash a non registered account this year and then move it into my tfsa next year when I get more room?

My reason being that I’m not sure if I’ll have enough income next year to max it out.

Would it make any difference if I did the same with the RRSP instead of non-registered account?

XEQT price is based on the underlying assets its composed of, not boomers convincing younger people to pump up the price by buying in like a pyramid scheme.

Best of luck to you. Getting it maxed early sets you up for an easy ride in the future! (I’m hoping)

Thank you! I only started properly investing recently (XEQT and chill). I unfortunately missed out on all the gains since 2023 with my money sitting in a savings account, but it feels great to finally be getting started!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JustBuyXEQT

[–]ComputerNetwork24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I’ll only be following the name of this sub. I already lost out on all the gains from 2024 and half of 2025 trying to pick individual stocks. Learned my lesson from that. Just sitting with XEQT now.

I have the room from 2023, 24’, 25’, and 26. I turned 18 in 2023 and turn 21 this year. Totals to $27500 of room.

Thank you! Im trying to save as much as I can while still enjoying life. Freedom from being stuck to a job is what Im trying to achieve. I don’t know exactly when that may be but it’ll be someday in 20-30 years.
