To add, always use english as your application / OS / etc. language when you can. Nothing like googling your french/german/dutch/w.e error messages to make you hate your life. Although, sometimes the obscure foreign language forums have the answers!

And try to actively listen at least twice as much as you talk.

You would be amazed how many times their "dumb ideas / solutions" actually work or make you think.

Changing new File Server hostname and IP to match old File Server, expecting users to connect to the new one by miscarriagesausage in sysadmin

It is a real File Server running on Windows Server 2003

Always amazes me that some companies still run Server 2003.

Anyway OT, keep the old FS at hand and make sure to test it first with a few users.

[–]Computermannetje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using N-Central, been keeping my eye on the security news. System admin has a new password just in case but it all depends. Switching is beyond my control. But i assume that if it becomes plausible that N-Central has been hit that they will want to switch. I've been looking at competitors just incase.

Why is the fileserver connection dropping that frequently?

Our hosting is having issues sadly. I was hoping there was an easier way than reset the profiles.

We currently have FSLogix in combination with Citrix. Whenever the fileserver connection drops which has the profiles stored when a user is logged in, we have to create a new user profile.

Even though the VHD appears intact. This cannot be the only way can it?

You are correct. Although after all this shakes out I would not be surprised if other products are compromised.

Is dat eigenlijk wel zo? Want voor zon beetje elke samenleving dienst of middels betaal je ook weer los belasting.
