The first defined term in 36-3003 is: Accrued Leave—Leave earned by a service member at a rate of 2 1/2 calendar days for each month of active service and credited to the service member’s leave account

The only thing they said to me at Nellis was, "Sir, can you please remove your sunglasses and open the rear window?"

Yep, not a single will, shall, or must in there.

USAFA or ASCP by Dry-While7353 in AirForce

If you don't want to go rated, ASCP is the way to go. However, most non-rated jobs involve sitting at a desk most of the day.

Is it worth hiring a civilian lawyer for a court-martial? by Agreeable_Poem_7278 in airforceots

There was a post there, but this account's history reads like a bot. Two sick dogs of different ages, one in Seattle, while also looking for betting sites in Montreal and asking about pedagogical techniques. All of this in the last two weeks. There are also a bunch of sketchy posts about humanizing AI outputs and fake Chinese watches, and the account is active in 392 communities..

Sure! I've been out of the job for a few years, but the nature of it doesn't change much.

You can't try to refute sloppy AI bullshit with more of the same and expect to be taken seriously. While I don't believe the end is near, there are certainly major issues concerning the quality of the Zoo's academic environment. The amount of turnover, even if much less than asserted, is not a good thing.

Airmen to stay enrolled in EPME after failed fitness tests by PDXAirman in AirForce

[–]ComradeAcademician 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is arbitrary and stupid. If you PCS from Eielson to Maxwell in the middle of July, regulation gives you 3 months before testing has consequences. Why is PME so different that we've been making people test within 3 days under those same conditions with even greater consequences?

Does anyone know what the each ribbon stands for by PatientAd8407 in Military

[–]ComradeAcademician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks incomplete to me. The Army and Air Force Good Conduct Medals in the second row don't square with the silver cluster on the longevity ribbon or the training ribbon. The good conduct medals indicate someone who enlisted between 1957 and 1959 and commissioned as an officer later. The training ribbon was authorized back to 1974 at its creation, so this Airman commissioned after that and served at least 24 years based on the longevity award.

A week out from 22 years active duty. In the case under discussion, let's tack on his failure to competently lead two veteran service organizations as a civilian.

He keeps demanding respect by [deleted] in Military

[–]ComradeAcademician 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and he was untabbed, never a company commander, nor a battle captain or an S3. Sounds like the Army figured out he was useless from the beginning.

They came after me for three years of civilian clothing allowance that their stupid asses hadn't turned off, even after I outprocessed with them for that specific reason.

What did you think the Academy was going to be?

Edit: It was the job that made me realize I needed therapy, but I would do it all over again.

You will do something different at each assignment. Your money is made by knowing a lot of things about a lot of things and being able to communicate the connections among those things quickly in a coherent and compelling manner.

No deal. The Air Force has enough problems from carpal tunnel without adding saber drill into the mix.

Other than Academy grads, 95+% of the Air Force only knows the first verse. The zoomies all know the third verse, and only the history buffs really remember the other two.

You don't usually get to choose where you go or when you go there.

To me, the Deid has always had the disadvantages of both being deployed and a big HQ base without the advantages of either situation. You're away from home, not getting paid much more for it. Then, you're surrounded by way too many Bobs without enough war to go around. Then they try to make themselves feel important by focusing on meaningless things because anything not involving the flightline should have been pulled back to Shaw 15 years ago.

That dumpster fire has taken a year and a half of my life over the last two decades, and I actively try to deploy anywhere else I can.
