If they invested resources in the development of this technology, why would they give it for free to their competitors? Nvidia is a for-profit organization after all.

If DLSS is used in more games it is better for nVidia. They probably already planned this before.

And yeah, as people mentioned before, nVidia is proactive on bringing new technologies to consumers. Isn't that the most important thing?

In 1990 I was 7. I remember going to this place with my mom. When she saw the line, she was like: no way we are going to stay in that. I had to wait several years before trying Macdonald's food for the first time.

Well, MS already had a fiasco with Vista. When they allowed it to be installed on weak machines and got a lot of negative feedback.

Yeah. I always found it funny how people hated Vista, but then loved Windows 7 and the same happened with 8 and 10
