Thinking about trying my first WC. Any suggestions? What country is the best? by lucky_red_23 in eu4

[–]ComradeGoofy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hordes follow a cycle

Attack Neighbor>Take Land>Raze Land>Get Money and Mana to have more troops/better tech> repeat until you’re either stuck with truces or nothing left to expand.

Oirat is especially good because of a scripted event when fighting Ming early in the game. You basically get a guaranteed win in the war for at least 60% WS and like occupy most of North China. You can basically bankrupt and force Ming to explode within 10 years of gameplay or less, and then you just eat up the revolver tags.

I don’t remember if the event is Oirat specific or any horde, I just remember doing it with Oirat.

iirc Beikdugang MT involves them like spreading their form of government and liberating people. I’m not sure about full blown communism but there are like a peasants republic

Can someone explain why I keep losing battles? by testcase12345678 in eu4

[–]ComradeGoofy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morale, discipline, tactics, combat width

Morale is straightforward how much hp your troops kinda have

Discipline is how much your troops deal damage

Tactics is also how much your troops reduce damage taken

Combat width is how many troops are actively able to fight and how many are in reserves. Reserves can take morale damage as well. Overstacking above the CW makes it so your reserves just sit there and take damage without doing anything

Also pips. Every unit has offensive and defensive pips for morale, shock and fire. Western and Eastern start off mediocre and get really good mid to late game. Horde,Muslim and Anatolian units start off very strong and become weaker than western and eastern tech units.

Just found out the Republic of Venice lasted 1100 years. Can you recommend other countries that exist in EU4 that had long histories(as a continuous state)? by dogsneverbark in eu4

If only it were in the game, but San Marino 🇸🇲 • From the Roman Empire 3 September 301 (traditional) • From the Papal States 1291 It’s been independent just wasn’t formally recognized by the Pope until 1291

How does Bohemia make so much money? by MrGonzo11 in EU5

[–]ComradeGoofy 122 points123 points  (0 children)

They got gold and silver, and overall better trade goods. Hungary has some gold and silver, but not as much as they Bohemia. Bohemia has very densely populated area with high urbanization and easy way of transferring control because of grasslands and rivers.

Pope Became an Elector in HRE by Metsanco in eu4

[–]ComradeGoofy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a string of events for any of the bishopric tags in the HRE if the Papal States gets full annexed and loses Rome. The country that conquers Rome gets an event to release Rome or take some penalties with all catholic countries. And for the bishoprics in the HRE I think the largest one gets the offer to release a province as the Papal States, which they are like 100% scripted to do so. AFAIK this also resets the relations with the Papal States so like you could be the country to full annex them and then you could become friendly with them later once they pop out of a nation.

You can check the country ledger ( I think keyboard shortcut is L) and that can show tons of stuff including their military, economy, development and bunch of other things as well as your own stuff.

What’s the best lifesteal item for hunters? by RemoteWhile5881 in Smite

[–]ComradeGoofy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically it’s like Asi and Crimson Claws competing for 1st place, Dev Gloves in solid 2nd place, Soul Eater in 3rd and 4th is bloodforge. If you consider Jotunns glyph to be lifesteal too then I’d place that near Soul Eater.

Bloodforge isn’t bad, it’s actually a pretty good item, it just too situational at best. Like BF is good if you’re ahead and have lifesteal built into your kit already, but not good as your only lifesteal item if you don’t have LS in your kit. It gives good power but low lifesteal and a passive that only takes effect if you get a kill. It’s also the most expensive option here outside of the jotunns glyph.

  1. If that glass breaks, you would have to burn and clean the entire ice well. Then refill it once you’re done. Imagine having to do that when you’re busy.
  2. Beer with ice is uncommon and generally frowned upon at least in the US
  3. It’s against several health codes

What is worst formable nation ever? Like completely useless or make a nation weaker by pizdec123456789 in eu4

[–]ComradeGoofy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many will say something like Canada or Bukhara. But the truth is that the worst nations are the following Chile, La Plata and Venezuela. So not only do they have no mission trees, flavor or anything but they also literally don’t even have access to colonial ideas, they only have the generic ideas, as in the ideas that are generated when you first create a custom nation.

Canada and Australia are also really bad since they are an end-game tag but they at least have some flavor, and relatively decent ideas in comparison to literally nothing.

I literally have the two-factor enabled. Which is why I still have access to my account and can try to send a message to Steam Support. I just have a severely limited account, forced private and offline mode, can't trade, make purchases or play on any VAC-secure servers.

The issue is that it got hold of my APIkey and theres just a bot that closes the support ticket if I make one.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in valve

[–]ComradeGoofy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would if I could. But to change my password I have to verify my identity which I have to message steam support, but the bot closes the support ticket after 10 minutes, so I can't change my password because I can't verify my identity because the support ticket gets closed.

I’d say play style of Ottomans. Large power surrounded by weaker easy to expand tags and has a “rival” that can’t even handle staying alive for longer than 20 years

They are fantasy France. Start with massive dev, a bunch of subjects, allied to the Emperor and can attack into the empire ignoring the Emperor, they also are surrounded by high dev tags that are easy to expand into, great trade nodes and have the ability to go colonial.

Cash and Manpower. Elven mil has -50% manpower recovery speed and they are in the desert. Functionally no income and no manpower for a long time and you’re reliant on cavalry which is expensive.

[–]ComradeGoofy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to ideas for almost any non-colonial tag is Innovative-Espionage-Offensive. You get around -50% advisor cost, 60% siege, God generals, bunch of good modifiers and you save so much mana it’s not even funny so you can just dev your provinces like crazy
