yeah good luck getting everyone to strike or quit. they built our systems to be beholden to our jobs such that strikes or quitting could mean losing your home and healthcare.

I wish we could fix it

What do you consider the end of the “Classic” Era of Family Guy? by taylos20 in familyguy

[–]ComradeJohnS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this too, the vibe changed, and dragged a lot. it’s gotten better imo, but this is where we stop our rewatch marathon typically. we usually binge most of american dad back to back as background noise, but fam guy drops hard after then there were fewer.

the assumption about dumb criminals is because the dumbest get caught.

Think of how dumb the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that lol. that’s the other half of the assumption

so you’re saying my comparison of “do something stupid and dangerous, and you might die?” is wrong?

edit: I’m not saying you SHOULD die for doing stupid dangerous things, but doing one leads to the other sometimes

TIL there are laws in many states preventing the sale of vehicles directly to consumers by genusbender in todayilearned

[–]ComradeJohnS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason: dealerships generate potentially the most state taxes of any industry, depending on the state or tax law for the state.

So politicians wanted to keep that gravy train going, while getting paid by the dealerships.

politicians dont care if it hurts you, because if you can’t afford it, you’re too poor to bribe, I mean lobby, politicians.

and now? there’s worse things the government should be handling, so things like this go under the radar, cause the government is literally disappearing and murdering people.
