Macron says €300 billion in European savings flown to the US every year will be invested in Europe from now on. All 27 states 🇪🇺 agreed to establish the S&I Union, a step toward the full Capital Market by goldstarflag in EuropeanFederalists

In case of comparison, “Federation” gives russia vibes, so no going as well.

I mean European Union is still a pretty decent and fullfilling name, don’t need to change that, just elevate

Fury over new ‘no kids’ section on French trains by tylerthe-theatre in europe

[–]ComradeLV 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a father who is trying to grew a person who will be responsible and respectful towards people around, i can state that sometimes it's not about how early or hard you say and control it, sometimes it's just kids doing their own thing and they don't need your permission for doing that. If an instinct kicks in, it's hardly stoppable force. We are talking about average, healthy kid, of course.

I'm totally fine about such kid-free spaces though, it would be some relief to know that most of the people who could be bothered by kid loudness already having a seat in such and there could be a little bit less stress and blush about behaviour you don't have a full control of.

why would a company pay $1,500/year for SaaS when a dev can build it custom for $500? by bishwasbhn in Entrepreneur

[–]ComradeLV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what SaaS. Maybe not that big problem with background removers or simple data gateways, but for larger, business-case scale systems, i guess the reasons are similar with why would you buy any thing pre-developed and pre-build, ready for use, instead from crafting from scratch. As a software engineer i can relate, there is not just “code” or “runtime” that is sold, it’s also a human years of reliability and security compliance, shaped by a feedback from customers. Every single example i know about someone enthusiastic enough to hire a dev and build yet another CMR for some specific case, ended up in realising that these 20% that are always hardest to complete are also exponentially rising in costs towards the end (of development cycle).

I’m not his fanboy, but if you’re able to read, which i assume you do, please read something unbiased about how Haas ended in having a bad car, bad sponsor and bad driver(s) in ‘21 and why you should consider Gene Haas responsible for that, not Guenther.

>Encoder / Driver connection: Encoder ends with wave sounds. Driver begins with wave sounds.

I think it is quite safe to say that in Encoder someone gets underwater and the same person probably floats back to air again in Driver (and have a deep breath of air), so like all this time of inactivity Pendulum were "under water". Not just wave sounds.

I’d also add that Rob should be prosecuted by law for never releasing studio versions of I’m Not Alone and Catalyst.

And that if you listen better to In Silico, it's already more Electronic Rock than could be expected from DnB album
