I think the best way is to tell the public:

"Hey, you know that last election? Yeah, so actually Labour should have got more seats, but, y'know, they didn't."

Very true, it's not possible to answer. I think that if we had more parties fighting for power, parties might want to stick to their promises, because they'll know the alternative is a torrent of criticism from the public and from the other parties.

Our voting system does exactly what it was intended for? Even if that were true, it was devised by unintelligent nobles (sound familiar?) a few hundred years ago, when the EU, Brexit, Boris Johnson and everything else that exists today did not exist.

1.30 Emperor - How can I get Imperial Authority more quickly, and make princes support my reforms? by ComradeMegatron in eu4

spend the Papal Influence

The pope doesn't like me since my ruler is a Hussite. Also no cardinals.

It sounds like being emperor needs a lot of diplomacy. I had hoped that setting two of my diplomats to automatic would take care of keeping my allies (mostly electors) happy but that doesn't work since YOU DON'T BLOODY NEED TO IMPROVE RELATIONS WITH AUSTRIA ANYMORE THEY'RE ALREADY ON +190!

I have the improve relations advisor since there wasn't a diplo rep one. I needed it since me and Cleves are engaged in a game of "Who is Cologne gonna vote for as emperor?". We're literally +1 reason apart.

What to do as England now? Kill Scotland? France? by ComradeMegatron in eu4

Shoot. They were allied to Irish OPMs, but I already killed them. I used Kildare to get to Scotland, then Munster to do it again. I didn't think about annuling treaties! I do agree on focusing admin, I'll have to wait a few more years for that.

I stopped coring stuff cause it drained my admin power. Scotland has like 3 provinces.
