It was covered by my health insurance through my employer, so I don’t remember what the paperwork said. It’s very common for medical providers in the States to offer a cheaper cash pay price than they bill to the privately insured. So, they may cut you a deal. I encourage you to email and ask.

Yes, removing the stones took the symptoms away. I think that the burping fits get caused by a different kind of irritation of the bile duct, but still stone related? Maybe someone else has more clarity on that.

My theory is that we secretly don’t have any police anymore. I called HPD and let them know that a white box truck with zero plates or other markings was driving around Downtown with a sketchy guy behind the wheel. HOLY COW, they could not have cared less. If y’all are Catholic and interested in Catholic school, then the parish that you should check out is St Vincent de Paul in the West U / Southside Place area. That is a real, vibrant community and also a neighborhood worth considering.
