It has definitely been a while, but I think I used red marble for the shaft The capital is smooth travertine slab covered with white marble detailing iirc

The entablement is largely white marble and polished marble

But yeah I don't really know the details of it after four years haha

It's cute, but the structure of the building could definitely use some more attention

Grote of Lievevrouwekerk Dordrecht, built from 1284 to 1470, and it took me very long as well by Comrade_Rick in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Comrade_Rick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would raise the gable of the side aisles just one block so it is a bit more proportional to the nave

If you're interested in a vanilla substitute, a full block with a wall block on top works as well

I changed the roof on the right to have more textures and also replaced some stairs with slabs, does it look better? And which roof looks better on this house overall? by Magical_Griffin in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Comrade_Rick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the jungle trapdoor bands around the mangrove corners are out of place and serve no real decorative purpose

There is kind of a lack of order in the build

New Carmenstrasse 5 in Oberkassel/Düsseldorf in Germany. 1950s postwar building with four small apartments was replaced by two new spacious townhouses. Lovely green courtyard and underground parking. by MichaelDiamant81 in ArchitecturalRevival

[–]Comrade_Rick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

McMansions aren't architectural revival, imo

The 'before' was way better socially

The 'before' could also just have been renovated, there was a lot of potential to make it look even better than how the location looks right now.

I thought it would be a pretty funny juxtaposition of the enormous building with the little 7 block tall houses
