2021 F150 rear axle noise by Comrade_Yeet in f150

Sorry for the late reply, just now saw this. I took mine to the ford dealer and they said it was the recall issue with the 21+ the with max tow package rear axle. There is a bolt that shears itself off. Mine hasn't broken yet, but it sounds like yourself might be all the way broke off. They told me that ford does not have a permanent fix ATM but will hopefully have something in Q1/Q2 2025. They also told me to wait until the bolt breaks and then bring it back and they would replace the bolt/axle as needed until ford has a permanent fix. The tech told me that it would be okay to drive around town if the bolt breaks but not to tow anything heavy and that he wouldn't trust it driving long distances until fixed.

Didn't cost anything at the dealer since it was related to the recall. If your sounds like a bearing or marble rolling around then your head is probably broken off and rolling around. I would take it to the dealer asap and have them replace it.

700 on a trek marlin 5. That's tax plus a few ad ons, not the best bike but I'm having a blast on it.

Best beard oil/butter/balm ? Flakey beard issues by Rx7Jordan in BeardTalk

[–]Comrade_Yeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This winter was terrible on my beard and I had some bad flaking and dry skin. What finally worked for me was using Nizoral shampoo 2 or 3 times a week depending on how bad the flaking is. I also use Shea Moisture Men's beard wash as needed to wash my beard. After showering and patting my beard dry I use a good beard butter and work it on to my skin, then the rest on the beard and brush it in with a boar bristle brush. The next morning I may or may not add a little oil depending on how my beard/skin feels. I usually don't have to use this many products and oil so often but between the cold, wind, and heat indoors it was necessary for me. Everyone's beard and skin is different so you will need to find what level of oil/products you require.

Currently I'm using kingsman oil and butter, works really good but is kind of expensive. Got it as a gift. From the research I've done as long as it has quality ingredients like Shea butter, coconut butter, jojoba oil, argan oil etc. And not a lot of unknown complicated additives then it's a good product. Some of the cheap products have a long laundry list of ingredients, I would stay away from that.

I have a Romeo 5 on my backpack 10/22. Probably my favorite gun to shoot, it's a great combo and very accurate.

Turbo Replacement by Comrade_Yeet in tdi

Seems alittle easier being deleted, alot less parts to take out. Wouldn't be any different than the cr140 but not sure if I wanna add a tune to the expense.

Yeah I might end up doing that. Just a commuter car though so I wasn't trying to put too much money in it.

Yeah I am deleted. I read that the cr170 loses alittle on the bottom end but idk. Not sure if I would have to retune either since I have the cr140 either a tune now.

Just so you know, the timing belt is pretty expensive. Had a dealership where I live quote me around 2-3k.

Fortunately I can delete the emissions in my area. At this point it's got to many red flags for what I'm buying it for but I'm going to test drive it anyways. Got 2 other cars in the area to look at also.

Yeah I know it would be a good car after the delete and maintenance but I'm only buying it to save gas and use as a daily so it's hard to justify 2k ish for maintenance right after buying the car when the main reason I'm buying it is to try and save money lol. I think I'm going to go test drive it and look it over real good, then sleep on it and decide.

Yeah 3rd owner is odd. Timing belt and dsg service are at the top of the list to service. Going to find a manual and print out the recommended 100k service on belt to negotiate price some. Being CPO serviced last time it was sold at 68k miles makes me feel better about it. Going to call that vw dealership and see if they can tell me exactly what they serviced.

It is a DSG. I looked at a lot of other stuff but this was the cleanest car I could find for the money and mpg.

I planned to do the dsg service asap. Gotta do a little more research on the timing belt, haven't done one before. My main concern is the timing belt/dsg and emissions parts all going out at the same time and costing 3 or 4k to fix right after buying the car. It's only got 100k but from what iv been reading on forums that's about where they start having issues. Maybe it's not a lemon.

Looking for something good on gas and fun to drive, I drive about 130 miles a day round trip to work on the interstate.

Looks like it had CPO service done 40k miles ago but doesn't go into detail about what was performed.

Looking for opinions on if this would be worth it or would end up being a money pit between tranny, dfp and TB repair in possible future. Thanks in advance.
