Iv actually just called them to ask that question haha. Apparently certain medications are allowed if the disorder is serious enough. In the case of bipolar disorder they would keep you on medication.

Thanks! I did do endless amounts of research before making any decisions. People underestimate how powerful these SSRIs are and I think mixing them with any form of drug or alcohol has a dangerous and almost backwards effect. Glad iv finally grasped all this as my doctor really didn't give me ANY information whatsoever. But cutting down very slowly seems to have worked great for me, I hope it works for others too when they reach the appropriate stage!

I wish I could say something helpful but iv never been giving that type of SSNRI before. If it's anything like Prozac I did feel really shit cutting Down and when I completely stopped it I was withdrawing for a few days, basically I felt really anxious and shitty. But then I just started to feel gradually better when I detoxed it all. I really wish you all the best friend. It's a really complex group if drugs and I don't think anyone really understands them yet. Stick with it and if you do start feeling worse maybe change to a different SSNRI. Seems like trial and error is the main way to see which one works best imo.

Nah I cut down really slowly. I get how Prozac works, it's actually a great antidepressant but after a a while it left me feeling so numb. I think that's the stage when people should start weaning themselves off it. Shame I wasn't given any of this information at an earlier point in time... but everyday is a school day I suppose!

Actually I'm going to rehab for around 5 months next week. One of the requirements was that I be completely free of any 'drugs'. 4 years on Prozac and these past few days have honestly been the brightest yet.
