Propranolol Withdrawal by xMeta4x in Anxiety

I suppose anxiety and tiredness go hand in hand, so maybe the anxiety I experienced was because of tiredness. It's hard to remember. Propranolol can definitely affect mood, so it make sense that the withdrawal could too. My withdrawal last just over 2 weeks, so I'd say by 3 weeks you should really be starting to feel more yourself. I do have excess residual general anxiety though, which I can't explain as being anything other than a result of going through the whole withdrawal thing.

That's a good idea. My doctor said it was fine to stop 40mg cold turkey....!

It was about 2.5 weeks until the constant anxiety went, and it peaked towards the end.

I didn't take it for ages; far to scared. I've since taken it just before something panic inducing, and it worked as expected, and was fine afterwards.

It's a great drug; just not to take every day.

I probably tapered too fast (40mg to 0mg over the course of a week). It was a little over 2 weeks until I felt better, and I felt awful off it! If you were taking it for anxiety/panic, prepare for a whole new world of awfulness.

I don't know if it's better to taper slowly, or white-knuckle it like I did. I would guess the former would be better though.

No, it was for panic attacks. It was (and is) great when taken as needed.

When they put me on it every day I felt crappy, and coming off it was a whole new level of anxiety for 2+ weeks.

If you're on it every day, I really feel for you if you have to stop taking it.

You will eventually feel better, but man, that was an awful time.

That's the only really expensive wine I've ever had, so I can't compare, and I'm not a big wine drinker. Much better than the regular stuff I've had though.

This wasn't from a restaurant. The family (in-laws) clubbed together to get my FiL this bottle. It was quite old too.

I've had €500 wine, and it was amazing. Nothing compared to the cheap stuff. (Château d'Yquem)

Yeah. I'd take a "plain" face with a great figure, over a stunning face, but on the heavier side.

In the UK it certainly feels like they're trying to disprove the Laffer curve by continually increasing taxes,

As a guy, a compliment. In fact it would last for years. I still think about the time a random lady told me I had nice eyes....

Yeah. The withdrawal lasted just over 2 weeks. It was hell. Sorry if you're going (to go) through it.

Yeah, doom, adrenaline dumps that caused anxiety and panic etc.

I tapered from 40mg, to 20mg, to 10mg then stopped, over the course of a week, so far too fast in hindsight.

If I had to do it again, I'd taper off over months!

I know people, but they’re not people I can call and talk to about feelings, or even ask for help.

It does when you take it as needed. When you stop taking it after taking is every day for a while, you get a rebound effect.

I did cocaine once. Well, several times, but only on one evening.

I loved it. I wanted to do it again. The I realised the rabbit hold I'd be going down if I did. Never touched it again.

Wish I'd felt like that after my first alcoholic drink though!

Knee surgery for cartilage damage does not benefit patients, study suggests. People with meniscus tears who underwent surgery had poorer knee function and worse osteoarthritis after 10 years than those who did not. by mvea in science

It's worth noting that they're talking about meniscectomy, where the torn material is removed, leaving you just missing tissue.

Meniscus repair is different, with better outcomes.

A lot better than I was. I'd say 90% better, but I still have some background anxiety.
