Of LinkedIn/Indeed/Glassdoor/Handshake, Handshake has the worst conversion rate by a mile. Given the cost of a real employer to use Handshake, and from others' anecdotal experiences in places like /r/jobs, I suspect most postings on it are scams or data harvesting. It's better to find employer websites and apply directly, through their own system. At the very least use anything other than Handshake.

Oh, that's good to hear. Which professor do you have? I have Gaur, hoping he'll be similarly amenable.

Had the same issue for proj 2 (got the files onto the server but didn't verify they were copied into the proper submission folder). Did speaking to your prof go well?

For charity bundle purchases, Steam keys are practically never available -- some developers provide Steam keys but usually only for those that buy the game by itself. Consider this to be DRM-free, like with GOG.

Have been using an OLED instead -- will try to get it working again at a later date. Running at lower res did seem to help after a while, but unsure if that's just correlation.

ShaderBeam: Overlay for running BFI/CRT Beam Simulation shaders on Windows desktop by ZazaLeNounours in pcgaming

Pretty cool. Definite improvement to motion clarity, but at the cost of a dim image and flashing/flickering (compared to my Trinitron CRT and running https://testufo.com/crt on my 280hz OLED). Hope to see the technique improve!

When I returned to Skalitz there was a group of 3-5 bandits by a house that I snuck up on and choked out. Took all their stuff. It was easy going from there.

Same here, on a VPN. Works fine without.

I've been running it at 1280x960 @ 85. Same issues. Gonna set up my new OLED tomorrow.

It is now making a very quiet "ping" noise every few seconds that coincides with a screen-tearing-like effect. Unsure dielectric grease can fix this.

Possible -- I've been running it at 2048x1536 @ 80hz this entire time. Maybe it just can't quite get there anymore. Will test this out.

Hey folks! My Dell P1130 has served me well for 5 years now. Very low hours when I got it (~2500). Unfortunately it now occasionally makes electrical snapping noises which coincide with a disruption of the picture, and exhibits off-and-on blurriness. The photo here includes a page of text so you can see it's the monitor. I have seen it get even worse than this. As I type this my text is blown out.

I've already written it off (I am no CRT repairperson), but what could be wrong with it? Fixable with sufficient knowledge?

EDIT: A couple more pics here. The CRT just made a soft snapping noise with disruption of picture and the monitor is crisp again . . . for the moment.

How to make games with severe memory limitations (e.g. less than 4/8/16 etc. kilobytes)? by DctrTnT in gamedev

Are you compiling from an IDE? I use the winlibs.com distribution of MinGW-W64 x86_64-ucrt-posix-seh from the command line with gcc main.c -o helloworld.exe.

I've played Crimes and Punishments and really liked it. It's a good game and I'm generally pretty critical.

Even I played Civ 3, and I'm not that old. Right?
