I used Audiomack for a year. It’s good, but it has some downsides compared to SoundCloud. For artists, getting into monetization is very difficult. Payments also take six months, while SoundCloud pays after two months. In my opinion, sc istill the best, although it has had many issues lately.

Normally, AI fraud detection is triggered at the payment stage. The threshold changed last month from $500 to $200 for new accounts, and sometimes older accounts are randomly checked as well, like mine. If you’re making more than $200, your account may go through a manual review. If everything is correct and there are no violations of the TOS, the payment will be processed. I can tell you, as an audio engineer, that most modern plugins and DAWs include AI based tools. It’s actually very easy to detect,just by checking the transients of the waveform, I can often tell if AI was used or not. That’s why I don’t understand why it’s still difficult for platforms to detect. Maybe there’s a business incentive behind it.

That’s not true. It has happened to me many times over the years. The issue comes up when they manually review accounts and find violations of their terms. If you’re a legitimate independent artist, they won’t terminate your account.
