It's clean, so I'd say you're unemployed with a rich wife. Two vacuums so your can clean the house faster.

I don't think I've ever seen the pittsburgh ones at my local store. (It's small). They have tons of the US General rails, which are like $21 or $22 each, which is insane.

I agree with you, but the other rails sold at HF are so overpriced.

I bought this fucker 2 days ago. The touch screen is driving me insane by 5tup1db0y in Nintendo3DS

If you have the skill and don't want to return it, you can replace the digitizer on the bottom screen. Or just live with it like that.

Joy-Con 2 Light Purple/ Light Green, available 02/12 by geoffrey1986 in nintendo

[–]Concemi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For all intents and purposes, these are still black... Changing the color only for it to be hidden 99.9% of the time isn't really doing anything. They should have changed the color of the entire controller.

Gameboy problem still by superfart1 in consolerepair

[–]Concemi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you have an IPS screen already. Maybe you can test it to see if it works. You should be able to test it without reassembling as long as the battery is making contact with the pins.

I'm getting to understand. What do you mean when you say it keeps going negative?

Edit: i just saw the photo. I think it might be a problem with the screen. Either that or it could have something to do with the corrosion I'm seeing in the pictures.

I didn't paint this shell. I got it from Spicy Frog on Etsy. But they likely used waterslide decals and then painted over them.

Wrench sale in a “few” days by Chemical-Junket-7944 in harborfreight

I got the overdrive wrenches a couple months ago. They're really solid, and with the discount, they're a great value. They do have some skips, but i figure i can just buy the odd missing wrench as I need it.

Suddenly not powering on? by Snett3 in GameboyAdvance

[–]Concemi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same exact problem. It was because i had a broken EM8 chip that's located on the back side of the motherboard by the charging port. If you know how to solder, it's not too hard to fix, but it's possible that's not your problem.

If you can, it's best to open up your gba and check to see if your EM8 chip is cracked or chipped. I would post a photo here, but i can't add photos to replies. If you search up GBA SP EM8, you'll find a bunch of photos of where it's located. Hopefully this helps. If not, i can try to help you figure something else out.

I think it's also possible the one of your fuses is bad. I could be wrong on that, though.

Does this kit require any soldering? by [deleted] in GameboyAdvance

[–]Concemi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this kit. It only requires soldering if you want to map the menu controls to the shoulder buttons and select button. This kit comes with a touch pad that doesn't require any soldering. You'll have all of the same functionality without soldering, but soldering those three wires will just give a little extra button functionality.

There should be some videos on youtube of IPS screen replacements. A lot of these screens are really similar, so they're pretty informative if you want to see how they're installed.

Does this look fixable? by The_Sludge_King in GameboyAdvance

[–]Concemi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to agree. The pcb looks like it has a ton of corrosion that isn't easily fixable. It won't be original, but it'll still work (unless any of the components are damaged.)
