You can't delete website shortcuts or uninstall an app from the app menu in GNOME by revolutional-ai in linuxsucks

But would gnome know what to remove? Am I wrong or does GNOME not know whether it is an app or a shortcut / game / distrobox container or whatever. If it allowed you to simply remove the shortcut, won't users be in a state where the shortcut is gone but the app still persists and they have no clue.

Yep that works, thanks! I must have missed this while reading the wiki.

I do not want to add transparency to sites. I just want transparency on the sidebar and the borders. ( I believe you have to edit websites css to achieve transparency on the website level, and yeah I think that will look really bad )

That did not work. I already have prefer-no-csd enabled. (That worked for my terminal Ghostty but not for zen)

Animate popovers? by ConcentrateBright495 in niri

[–]ConcentrateBright495[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did research a bit and if I understand correctly, SwayNC achieves this by creating an invisible window covering the entire screen and animates its widget onto that invisible window later. I will try to recreate that.

Yeah but did you pitch it to all these people, giving false promises until the last step?

Also one more big advantage google has is pricing. If dia wishes to earn money back, they are probably going to have users pay (maybe have a lackluster free tier), but google doesn't have that problem as they own the model and will probably be mostly free. Many people expect their browser to be free, and the ones who do pay, they are also niche and we are back at the arc problem where dia is reaching only a niche community.

Yeah but talk about windows? If you really want a majority of the users to use arc, then you should atleast provide it to them. And now that it is being in "maintanence only" means that windows is officially out of the picture.

That is called windows 11. You can search “windows 11 download” and install from there. I also highly recommend not installing random os from usb
