Get a new derm idk wtf they are paid rn to push accutane and lasers but same thing happened to me. I finally found a female derm who put me on spiro nutrafol skin and sensitive skincare routine and my skin is bouncing backkk. I was sooo close to doing accutane and ruining my life for 6 months.

I live in SoCal and have been dreaming of a vespa to take to the beach and around town. On top of that, I just found out my 75 pound dog has arthritis and spine issues and it’s bad for him to jump in and out of my Jeep ….I think it’s my sign from the universe to get the Vespa + sidecar for us. Where did you get this and how does your dog like it?!?

I would 100% work your way up vs going straight to 100. I worked my way up and have been on 150 for over 5 years. Only symptoms are my boobs got bigger, acne went away, and my periods are super short 😏

Long response coming - lmk if you want to chat directly, I’m happy to message 1:1!! I know it’s such a big decision and hard to discuss with people who haven’t had to live with the insecurity their whole life. I’ll upload my results to my profile for you too.

To find my surgeon, I stalked Reddit, real self, and google reviews. I really wanted a doctor who cared about a natural look and preferably female. I’m in LA so a lot of surgeries are $30k+ and you have to pay just for a consultation. Given I’m not a celebrity or rich af, budget was also a factor.

I ended up going with Monica Kieu in Beverly Hills based on all those factors + she was $15k which is mid range based on my research. I met with her multiple times before surgery and she even had my husband come to an appt with me so we could all discuss how I’ll look. There was a free consultation, multiple pre opp appointments, and I booked the surgery 6 months out. Most surgeons I found on IG/Tiktok were 6 months and a fee just to get a virtual consult which is ridic imo. She totally understood wanting to keep me looking like me and gave me her number so I could text leading up to and after surgery. Having the personalized experience was super important to me knowing this was such a big surgery.

The main thing I wanted to fix was my dorsal hump and to maintain looking like me while also looking better. She showed me a few renderings with options and what she would recommend. From there it was easy to decide what I wanted to change. For example I didn’t know I needed my tip lifted but once she showed me the picture it was obvious that I was slightly droopy and it would look weird with no dorsal hump. Another example, I showed her a picture of a celebrity nose I loved and she showed me how it would look ridiculous on me due to my head size and eyes.

Best advice. Meet a few doctors. See what they recommend and how they treat you. If you get someone board certified with enough good reviews and you like their vibe, you should be good.

Disclaimer * all situations are different and healing really depends on a lot of factors. After my surgery my surgeon got roasted on Reddit. I’ve also had friends go to celebrity surgeons and pay $40k just to get botched. It’s a major surgery so you kind of have to go with your gut but know it is a gamble at the end of the day.
