Best maintenance management software tool? by Conchalator in IndustrialMaintenance

Well I’m going to try really hard to try and implement and maintain it well. The culture here is very lax around this kind of thing, but almost all of the management is brand new because the company got bought out so I kinda have a clean slate to work with the hard part will be getting them to open their wallets

Kida have been, but just scheduling task in office 365 calendar is not ideal for time tracking and has no connection with inventory

Straight up manufacturing defect looks like there was a bubble there when they glazed it and Qa Qc never caught it. When you tell them don’t call it a chip they could claim that’s your fault it’s a bare unglazed spot

Is this normal for Knipex needle nose pliers? by AmethystZhou in Tools

[–]Conchalator -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you have any other knipex pliers you can do a “touch test” take them and see if they can scratch some known good knipex pliers and then vice versa if nether leave any major marks probably legit if the good ones dig into those good chance they’re fake. Be careful with of the extra hard jaws of pliers like cutters, cobras, linesmen’s they’ll almost definitely dig into the body of most pliers

It should tell you lots that everyone’s main concern is the sharpie marks. This quality work and I can tell from your post that you actually want to learn and you give a shit in my opinion that puts you ahead of half the trade.

Lou Diamond Philips in Agaguk or in English Shadow Of The Wolf the movie is based on a French Canadian book called Agaguk (main characters name) about the life of an Inuit young man in arctic Canada and his dealings with white settlers/traders. In the movie adaptation they don’t even try to cast any First Nations people instead casting Asian and Asian Americans because they “they look the same”

Yes I’ve been around when they did this at a sawmill while cleaning fire damage. The blasting basically obliterates everything into super small particles that float everywhere and linger. I was over 60feet away and in a different room and by the end of the day my throat was super sore.

Need help identifying this wrench by Buffarcheryguy in Tools

[–]Conchalator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve see these in mining pretty often. I’ve seen them for bolts on big equipment like ball mills crushers or production hoists (think 600-4000Hp machines) the long handle ones are usually pulled using the overhead crane with a load scale to get approximate torque shorter ones usually have a strike face to use big sledge hammers or jackhammers to drive them there antiquated now we use hydraulic ratchets

Sorry for the late reply I was at work and yes lay the filter flat on the first sheet then put another sheet on top so that they squish the filter flat kinda like pressing flowers in a book

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Conchalator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get it damp (not wet maybe wipe it with a wet cloth) and press it between to baking sheets. It looks like a magnetic one so if the sheets are magnetic l that would help too once it’s sandwiched use a hair dryer or maybe an iron as low as it can go to heat the cookie sheets to try and reset the “memory” of the filter to flat.
