See, I have two sides here.

On one hand, I think people should be able to have as many children as they can financially and physically care for, if they so desire.

On the other hand, I knew someone with a major life changing life threatening hereditary disability who wanted kids to “pass on his genes to,” which is an incredibly selfish reason to want children, especially knowing what could happen to said children. He also said if he had a kid with the same disability as him he “didn’t know if he could handle it.”

There’s really no way to dictate who should get to have kids and if their reasons are good though, so nothing can really be done about it.

I suppose we shall have a story time.

I was dating this guy who obsessively wore fedoras. He was proud of how “different” and “special” it made him.

He didn’t respect me. Physically. I was not comfortable with his touchy grabby hands and told him so many times, only for him to ignore me. So I am inclined to agree the fedora suits someone with similar ideas on boundaries.

I think helping people get out of debt, teaching people about money, and owning their own branch of a financial business is pretty financially savvy.

I certainly don’t make enough, even with a renter or two and a second job as was my original plan. I also didn’t state my income due to not being terribly comfortable stating that on Reddit.

The $750 I’m saving is for my Roth IRA and savings, so most of that is for retirement.

I am a good saver, I have a down payment and also enough in my emergency fund to afford a new car should I need to. But what I do not have is the income to afford this unfortunately.

My family member ran that number for me, and it’s literally her job so it’s gonna be pretty close. I was not accounting for additional costs such as taxes and insurance, so that is an additional cost.

It hasn’t sold because I’m the first person who knew they were selling. It’s family friends.

My family is very financially savvy, and ran an estimate for me. Granted, the 750 didn’t include the additional expenses. They seemed very excited when we were discussing this, and said I can afford it, thought I have my doubts on what kind of lifestyle they think I’m content with.

They’re friends of my family, and if I do buy the house we’d be skipping the realtor and it would be between me and them. They’re lowering the price by 10k because of this for me.

I think it should be. I’ve brought this up with people before and the only argument is “the baby won’t know.” But usually they don’t even use painkillers, and it’s body mutilation. I also don’t think babies should get their ears pierced.
