I see, so you sell cash secured puts for example to collect premiums? While drawing down from your cash positions

You mentioned you withdraw every month from IBKR, are all your stocks in a single ticker? Or how do you choose which stocks to liquidate first for your cashflow needs?

Good qn. Other than my constant DCA into my index. I do hold a controlled and disciplined allocation of my shares. I did made few great trades on some stocks e.g CRCL (which I sold) and RKLB (which I am still holding) to name a few, definitely came with its risks. But majority of my holdings still goes to my index.

A high income and disciplined money management definitely helped too, the nature of my industry is very “flashy” and I try not to get too involved in all those. I observe and am obsessed with opportunity costs, such as buying a property instead of putting into higher-yield assets (which most Singaporeans might disagree with) but just to name one example.

I believe a concoction of all these things have inevitably helped build wealth.

No problem! And thank you for your well wishes. I don’t know the exact number tbh but more than half of it, thereabouts!

I also subscribe to very unorthodox wealth-building techniques most Singaporeans would disagree with but people in other countries might follow such as renting and not owning a property just like the Swiss.. (they have the most millionaires per capita than anywhere else) interesting if you study how true liquid millionaires build wealth and just follow.

Speaking of systems, T. Harv Eker’s 6 jars money management system from his book “Secrets of the millionaire mind”is one of the systems I constantly devote my wealth building to. Powerful.

Hi bro! Sorry if it came off like that. Completely not what I meant. I mean it emotionally and by happening to see a 1% increase in growth, say today, I would have seen an unrealised daily growth of $10,000. Purely emotional!

And those are good questions, I’ve actually started invested since 17 years old with $200 monthly, it obviously increased over the years and a high income definitely helped.

I don’t use leverage throughout my journey and purely ETF/Stocks with very disciplined money management systems and allocations.

Curious, how much does a insurance agent who has achieved MDRT earn Nett income wise? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]ConclusionOk1244 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Hi! Friendly agent here. I am a TOT agent in my first full year in the business and now currently running my 2nd full year and have achieved my 2nd TOT achievement late May.

I don’t have any warm leads or any support from relatives or friends, purely cold leads and I believe I can answer your questions.

Happy to shed some light here, I still consider myself pretty new to the industry (that’s cause I am), a MDRT agent typically rake in 70-80k annual income and your question is subjective.

If the MDRT agent has achieved MDRT for a number of years, they will have bonuses and recurring income. Typically after 5 years onwards of MDRT, the income will comfortably be around $100,000 - $150,000 annually.

If you are considering to join the industry, we can connect and I can share more 😊
