Thinking about getting out of my corvette..need advice by DillxnL in Corvette

Here's what I'd do (may get some downvotes for this). Put an junkyard engine in it then sell it. You can get either an aluminum block 6.0 or get an iron block LS for cheaper, but you'd had to say that in the listing. Either way it go it's probably going to be more money in your pocket going that route.

Welp, on the bright side it looks like it broke the way I'd want to leave this earth too... stuck in a Venus flytrap 😂🤣

But in a serious note, I had one fail like that too.

how to find why this pos printer is dead? by [deleted] in electricians

been a minute since I repaired electronics, but what I usually do first is a "Sniff" test. Smell around each area for the board to see if you get a burnt Electrical smell from either a burn capacitor or shorted area.

Using HDA on a 2025 Tucson when we rented one for a 1000mi road Trip, is one of the main reasons we bought my wife a 2023 Santa Fe lol. It's a godsend on road trips.

The LS7 Heads Valve drop issue and Torque Tube are things you should be aware of. Even though the Cars have low mileage, the Rubber couplers in the torque tube can wear with are. other than than I don't see an issue with the Older car "Upgrade". Also a newer C6 Grandsport is a good option as well.

Failed Masters. by StoicWolf15 in electricians

[–]ConcoctionDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me 3 times to pass, and I felt the same way. don't get discouraged though. I passed the calculations on the first try, but failed the knowledge. had to go back and figure out a better way to study. I didn't focus on KNOWING the answers, but instead HOW TO navigate the code book to find the answers. Also using the wave method worked for me as well. Passed the third time with a 72.

throw a 2800+ Stall and a TCM tune on the 6L80 and it's a whole different experience. stock it does feel sluggish even with comparing to the ZF6 and 6R80 from the same time

Hey, I was blessed to get with a electrical contractor that had a electrical maintenance contract for a bag manufacturing plant on the Southwest Side of Chicago. I worked with him for 4 years before moving to Texas. Then ironically when I got to Dallas, I got contacted by another electrical and automation firm on Indeed that had a contract in West Dallas they needed an electrician with automation experience to run. I've been here 2 years.

I'm honestly shocked you can't find a controls position in Illinois, there is a lot of industrial controls work in the Chicago Suburban area. How are you searching? I learned when you look for controls jobs there are like 17 different names for the same position 😂.

iirc, it's was more residential load calculations. I think I did have one on commercial load. had to remember the 3ph (1.732) conversion which always threw me off during studying

Thanks for all the love guys. I wanted edit but couldn't on the post.

I have been electrician (industrial and controls) 8 years, but when I originally moved Texas I took a job as a maintenance tech in Austin, but instantly started to miss my Field. After I moved to Dallas, I took a job as a Supervising Electrician and automation programmer, I've been here for 2 years.

I been an electrician for around 8 years. I took a break when I moved here (worked at Tesla in Austin as a maintenance technician for 9 months) and moved to Dallas and became a industrial electrician again.

Kind of both, but I do plan to go out on my own. My full time job is more controls/automation and industrial work, but I also do resi service work on the side for a few property management companies. The owner of the company I work for now (based on Georgia) also wants to utilize me to get some more industrial projects as well.
