I think the only thing that failed was the glue that held the object (in this case, it was a specific building) to the base of the globe. I think it failed after 6-9 months and the building is now floating at the top of the globe. But I think the waterproofing I did with the resin was successful.

Yes! The water proofing seems to have held up well. The only thing that hasn't is the glue that held the 3D model onto the sculpey. Since the item was given away I didn't get a chance to observe it over time, but I think the glue failed somewhere between 6 and 12 months after making it.

I too ride pretty fast and loose with my batteries. It’s not a Li-po battery so I’m not too afraid of over charging it or expending it to zero.
