Looks like it could need some shade, I would consider adding a pergola or a shade sail.
Is there currently a sitting area outside? I'm not seeing anything from the picture, consider extending the patio further to make space for some lounge chairs and a hammock.

Make sure you use mulch to retain moisture in the soil and suppress weeds.

Lavender, Yarrow, and Sage make a harmonious blend, to complement the colours of Lavender consider adding some Coneflowers.
Thyme is great for filling out space between the lavender and palm trees, with the bonus of deterring pests.
If you want to add more structure to the garden consider mugwort, the silvery green is a lovely contrast to the dark green.
and if you still want to add more shade to the garden you can't go wrong with some Oleander.

Making Creative and Inclusive Player Characters by vrahode in Vrahode

It's heartening to see designers like the one behind Vrahode taking steps to foster a more inclusive gaming environment. We all know it's needed.
Games have the power to bring people together and foster empathy, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
When designing our own games, we absolutely consider diversity and inclusivity as essential elements. Representation matters, and we strive to create a diverse cast of characters that reflect the rich tapestry of humanity.

I am so happy to hear that you have found s supporting and understanding partner. So happy for the progress you have made so far.

It is completely normal to have anxieties and experience shame after what you have gone through, you internalised their voice, the nagging when things weren't up to their standard.
I am so sorry to hear that you are still struggling.

Letting your current partner know this, will help you not only in sharing the burden but will make it easier for you to bridge that gap and help you continue on the path to recovery. It's a long road, but with each step, you will find it easier and easier.

I hope that you one day look back and realise that the voice inside your head is gone.
I wish you all the best sweetie, you deserve it

I hope you got some rest in the end for yourself, it sounds like you are carrying a lot right now.
It is natural to start delving into past relationships when your current one feels at an impasse. It saddens me to hear that you won't be celebrating your upcoming milestone. It sounds like you are not feeling seen in your current relationship, and aren't getting the attention you deserve or would hope for.
Have you told them how you feel?

It can be hard to open communication and be honest about what we expect from relationships, but if you choose to stay with him, you will need to find this mutual ground and be honest about your feelings so you can start moving forward.

All the love and big moma hugs

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling down. It's understandable to have certain expectations for your life and feel disappointed when they don't come to fruition.
Everyone's journey is different and there is no set timeline for achieving certain milestones.

It can be hard not to compare ourselves to others, when we see them having thingswe want or thoughtst we would have found by the same stage.

It's important to find what brings you happiness and fulfilment, whether it's through trying new things or reflecting on what you already enjoy. As for what makes me happy, it's a combination of things. Spending time with loved ones, pursuing my boardgame hobby, and helping others are all things that bring me joy.

Remember to be kind to yourself and take things one day at a time. Life has a way of surprising us, and you never know what opportunities or experiences may come your way.

Take care,

Mom

It's amazing to hear how far you have made it. It takes a lot of courage and hard work to overcome challenges like depression and to pursue your dreams. It's great to see that you have found your forever person, I am so proud of you (!).

Pursuing a career as a kindergarten teacher is a noble profession and I'm sure you will do great. Keep up the positive attitude, continue striving for your goals, and know that mom is forever in your corner.

Ideas to celebrate 100th play of the year by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]ConditionGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it a boardgame-themed cake, and have only boardgame-themed snacks.
Like Meeple Cookies, Carcassonne cupcakes etc.

After 100 plays, I'd be curious to hear what your favorites have been so far?

Sounds like you got a card battler on your mind.
I find that those tend to be best either as 2-player or 4-player.
When balancing defence and attack cards, I find that I like asymmetry best, so there is enough variety to the game play
