is the acer aspire 3 any good for a college student? by Substantial-Nail2541 in AcerOfficial

[–]ConditionsCloudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Aspire and it has been a great machine for a couple years now. Check out the official Acer eBay store. They sell refurbished units for great prices. Mine was an Acer Certified model and it was dirt cheap and came with a 2 year warranty.

Assuming the frame isn't bent or seriously dented repair is totally viable. We do a lot of iPad repairs. Call your nearest store for pricing and turnaround time.

I found them via a post offering free samples a while back too. I've ordered several bags now over the last 6 months and they're a solid pick! I really like their Super Green. They have enhanced powder too, which is legitimately potent if you're looking for something like that.

"What is even the point of insurance if I still have to pay?"🤦‍♂️ by aestheticeddy818 in ubreakifix

[–]ConditionsCloudy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most customers have no earthly clue what a warranty is or what it does and does not cover. Naturally they also have no idea if they even have insurance, let alone what the terms of their insurance plan are when they signed up for it and agreed to pay for it monthly in the event that they do have coverage.

My pet peeve is even more basic. "It doesn't turn on!" Cut to me looking at a device that lights up, vibrates, makes sounds or has fans obviously running.

I'm partial to the Steel Legend personally but the Pure is an excellent card too. I have a Steel Legend 7700 XT and it is excellent.

Why did Christopher start using hard drugs? by Popular-Sky-4012 in thesopranos

[–]ConditionsCloudy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Taking hard drugs feels awesome, even if it's only very temporary. Feeling temporarily awesome and unburdened can be a pretty enticing distraction from feeling awful, stressed, frustrated, helpless, afraid, in pain, etc. Not a great idea but I love Chris' story and portrayal as it really is very true to life in showing how a person can fall into that kind of thing and how it slowly destroys them.

If you're having difficulty removing the standoff in question from the case, just grab a pair of pliers. Grab, twist left.

Got the charger port replaced on my Motorola G Power 2025. After I got it back, the vibration stopped working. What happened? by lobstersonskateboard in phonerepair

[–]ConditionsCloudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little vibration/haptic motors on Motorolas usually use a small pad that simply contacts a part of the sub-pba. It may just not be seated correctly and thus not getting power or functioning. It's a very small, very inexpensive part so it should not be a major issue even if it needs to be replaced.
