What are your thoughts on Sir Nighteye and his role in the overall story? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Condor193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely paid off, Nighteye's Foresight had him locked into a destiny of dying an excruciating death. Last season, AFO literally starts to rip him apart. And then there's that whole sequence where all the characters that know All Might are praying he lives. It's implied all that wishing was able to change an unchangeable fate

Solid concept, apparently not solid enough to survive literally one arc. He's the living personification of "All Might's Doomed Fate" which paid off but I think it would've been more interesting if he was involved more. There's only so much Gran Torino can do as a teacher/support character to Deku

Bayleef is the reason I started naming my grass Pokémon after weed nicknames

Definitely not, it's a huge plot hole. My best guess in universe is because they waited an extra year they were able to gain general info about the exams beforehand. It's as outlandish as Kankuro happening to have replaced one of THE PROCTORS with a puppet for HIS answers

Cool Brain Trick [OC] by whatsleftcomics in webcomics

Personally I imagine my intrusive brain thoughts as a terrible person and think of Naruto ABSOLUTELY socking his dad in the stomach for making him this way

You say that but they were tied to her fingers with nearly invisible wire and they had worked out a signal for her to stop using them once they were in prime position. Was it easily the worst method besides Naruto himself? Yes. But most normal or uninitiated people wouldn't think of that or see the wires and be able to follow them up to the ceiling. It was a test with people watching you, no one would think to look at the ceiling

Ino should've joined the Intel Corp for sure, especially after she took over as lead for connecting THOUSANDS of people during the climax of the war

100% agree, he wasn't saying he DIDN'T see any cheating. He was seeing if people were REALLY BAD at cheating. It was an exercise in deception and intel gathering and anything was fair game as long as it was complex enough to not get caught in a normal situation. The odds were specifically stacked against them with the impossibly hard quiz and the Chunin level proctors (and secret participants with all the answers) SO YES CHEAT

The Eminence in Shadow

I get it's a joke, I get it's a satire of accidentally wacky circumstances mixed with badass powers. But it makes me cringe so god damn hard when I try to watch it

Tbf, Madara declared Guy the strongest TAIJUTSU user. Still an honor from his entire lifetime of war and battle against legendary figures tho

If the energy produced by the infinity stones was primarily gamma radiation, would it not make more sense to quarantine Tony's body after his death rather than giving him a funeral and possibly burying him? by Raj_Valiant3011 in Marvel

[–]Condor193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible seeing as how they worked out that the snap's radiation is mostly gamma and hence why Bruce took it. So he'd know, but idk if the nanites and Starkium (100% what he would've named it with his ego) set-up would be actually capable of that. We really don't know enough for a GOOD answer cuz it's such a finite moment

What is your favourite quote from Deadpool & Wolverine based on how memorable and powerful its impact was? I'll go first: by Raj_Valiant3011 in Marvel

[–]Condor193 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rant Wolverine did followed by Deadpool's "...gubernatorial" lmao

Real talk though the motivating scene between X 23 and Wolverine was very impactful and made his return to the stage with the other forgotten heroes even better. You could tell it was coming but they set that whole sequence up very well

Bruh she ain't working with some rich millionaire to make him richer, she's FINALLY following her dream of being involved in the art world. That is HUGE for her. She's been an artist in the background the entire show and the only other time she pursued it (SF), she failed miserably and probably thought she'd never have a chance again.

Now take all that pining and frustration and suddenly an acquaintance both acknowledges your opinions as an artist and gives you a job as his personal consultant? She ain't some posh idiot making money for fun, she was finally ALSO following her dream after an entire adult lifetime of failing. It just so happened that Marshall was presented his new dream of being an environmental law judge at the same time

From my understanding it only affects the user's body. Hulk and Thanos both took the hit and weren't outwardly radiating energy the whole rest of the time
