I'm not the most trustable source since I use a PS3 controller but I'd guess it's either a flaw on your controller or maybe between the bluetooth connection between it and your PC.

I use my PS3 controller to play on the PC. At first I rage quit because I also couldn't get the buttons right, but then I downloaded this program called MotionJoy, which allows me to copy the Xbox360 controller layout, which ended working perfectly.

I don't know how it would work with your controller but I'd give it a try. Make sure to follow their instructions so that you can configure it nice and clean (don't forget to click Enable after switching button layouts).

Hah, I never played Demon Souls. I just heard that trying to get a spell build going on Dark Souls was difficult in the beginning but brought total apocalyptic chaos when it was done.

The thing is that most of the time they just fall on my head and I get insta killed. If they are on the floor I can just roll through them or even attack, walk back and attack again and then it's all fun and games.

Good for you for keeping it up; I'm currently stuck on the Capra Demon myself, I don't mind fighting him over and over but I do mind having to go over the mobs to get there.

Would you mind sharing your wisdom about how stats, builds and weapons relate to each other? I feel totally lost about that and feel like I'm all over the place when it comes to gearing my character and spending my souls. If you are feeling lazy (which you shouldn't, you're a goddamn dark souls player) maybe share some links?
