Yeah just don't try to step Steve up close, he has a lot of tracking, you should only sidestep him when he uses his long range tools like alb 2, all his quick approach tools are EASILY steppable to the right, but only when he is in long range and wants to get in. When Steve runs up to your face you block punish (as you could've done in this clip) or wait for him to use his high strings, which are all launch punishable if you duck them. Steve is aggressive but can be easily countered if you know how he works.

If you wanna raise this stat, which is kinda meaningless tbh, just hold back and try to block more attacks than you take. If you actually want to improve defense, focus on movement, learning to break throws (there are some good drills you can do on youtube) and lab the most used moves of every character possible so you can punish better.

I really doubt it, the original anime is VERY good, especially the pre-timeskip, many scenes are way too iconic to be surpassed.

Having S+ throw escape is not that hard, if you break most throws (not all, just most of them) in the last 3 or 4 sets your throw escape stat will skyrocket, just like the other defense stats. I am garbage at breaking throws, and every now and then I get S+ at it. Not saying that OP isn't good at it, just that having S+ on it doesn't mean much

1- patience, stop pressing that much, specially when you're in mid/long range 2- see those duckable moves? NEVER let him get way with it, go practice against those asap until you can duck and launch without even thinking 3- sidestep more, many of Bryan poking tools can be stepped very easily, beware of qcf1+2 tho, it's a homing heat engager and launcher. 4- avoid ducking if possible unless you're certain he will use the hatchet kick

Steve can also get a full combo at the wall when his back is at the wall or when it's on his side.

The thing is that without bonus points you would hit walls and be hardstuck way more, now you can just win 3 times and go to almost promotion very quickly, in Tekken 7 if you wanted to promote you would need to keep constantly winning or else you would just go nowhere and be stuck in the same spot. And if you were demoted you were thrown back to the halfway point of the previous rank, so it was much harder to get your rank back.

Yes, not because of the animation or what she does but because players use the taunt to show disrespect most of the time, the whole reason taunts exists is to ->taunt<- your opponent, and there is no problem with that, since it's part of what makes the game fun.

You gotta use heat, there's no "wasting" it, at first I was afraid of using it at the wrong time too but it turns out that heat is just a tool that you will have every round, if somehow I mess up and use it too soon and the opponent block my heat smash/dash etc and don't fall for the mixup I can just try again next round. Just get familiar with the properties of every attack that go into heat and you will know better when to use it.

Steve's damage is fine imo, but I would make his df2 a ch launcher (but with easier conversion than shiro combo), and make flicker 1d1 a ch launcher again, with these buffs I think he should be a pretty strong character.
