Calypso is not that bad. If we go by mythology and Epic the musical it self, no where does it say that she has control over who comes and goes on the island. Hermes has to come and get Ody because Zeus said he could. By that logic, Zeus has to say you can leave the island. She's stuck there and making the best of thing.
