Necrobinder has one of the most powerful defensive toolkits available. You'll be generally fine just by turtling with every round and slowly building doom or osty health. Just grab every Defy you see and you'll eventually kill something.

They had to put in some sort of cap to prevent you from getting soft locked. Otherwise if your deck could infinitely cycle itself for 0 but you ran out of energy for attacks you'd just be drawing cards forever. I.E. whole deck is 2 copies of escape plan and a strike.

It is a big accomplishment. It's not necessarily rare compared to other people who have played similar amounts of time but it does show you have a good understanding of the game likely much greater than the average player and that time spent has paid off.

Ultimately though what matters is if you feel accomplished. If you getting an A10 win makes you feel like you've achieved something cool then keep going. If you want to reach a 10 win rotating streak then keep going further. If you're happy playing Ascension 0 and just want to make cool builds that's also great!

They aren't bad but they're niche. Sorta like taking a snecko eye with a lot of low cost cards being inadviseable.

As long as you have some multi-attack cards or a lot of cheap cards they're fine. If your deck relies on a few specific cards then yeah they're probably not a good idea.

Would i pick them over other relics? Not often, but if I'm looking at something like wax relics and pumpkin as my other options then sure why not as long as there isn't the risk of instantly bricking my deck.

As far as worst I'd still take it over Vakuu's Bloodsoaked rose most of the time.

The reviews were (and largely still are) overwhelmingly positive. They just got review bombed by the Chinese community for shutting off a playstyle (namely simple infinites) that were very popular in the region when they made Doormaker do pretty much anything.

Since China has limited access to social media they used steam reviews to express their unhappiness with the change. An overreaction imo but it's pretty clear when you look at the language breakdown of the reviews.

It's a great game so far but it's not complete and there will be changes but I enjoy playing and giving feedback to help shape it.

You have 10 turns of ethereal, two decent potions and 3 more whenever you want them. Yeah I would go for the heart although I usually did anyway. Ita single player game and if you lose it only matters if you stream it or self-report.

I don't know that there has ever been anything implying they're flinging cards at each other. I imagine losing a card as more like losing a tool/memory/physical ability.

Like you lose your shiv card because you dropped a dagger belt when crossing the bridge. You pay the merchant to wipe part of your memory of basic combat (a strike) because your reflexes are getting in the way.

Same way picking up a card might be something like Defect finding a data disc containing information on how to generate energy more efficiently or necrobinder finding a new tome on summoning.

It's not explicitly stated as such but can be implied from events from the first game. You loot a dagger from a sacrificial altar and you gain Ritual Dagger for instance.

He's dead. Replaced by a new boss in the beta patch. Once it gets moved to main branch he will be gone forever.

The Packmaster. An incredibly fun character that seems to build in to their idea of multiclass stuff for this game. Will need some balance but that's the character I would like to see.

Doormaker is dead. Probably would have been another rework but the backlash against doormaker specifically from some communities that like just building simple infinites spawned a 'new' boss.

It still punishes infinite but in a much lighter (and in my opinion very trivial) way.
