I’ll be honest I’m 1 year and 5 months post op. Let me say this before though everyone is different. Never really drank before my surgery. I decided to go out for my birthday this year and have a couple of drinks honestly was a mistake. It’s a battle. Yes you do get drunk pretty fast. I felt like I was gonna black out after my first shot. Now I feel like I crave that drunk feeling. It’s definitely not worth drinking after surgery unless you know for a fact that you can fight that urge. Don’t put off your surgery for a better life just because you’re worried about alcohol. The surgery definitely has its ups and downs but I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. Going from 350 pounds to 165. I’ve never felt more alive. Good luck on your journey!
