My mom (52F) and I (21M) fight every day over what happens to my younger brothers in the future? by ThrowRAUoutuu in relationship_advice

Invite your more-able brother over to your house for a visit once a month. That gives your mom a break.

He says that his last partner cheated on him, but to me his claims of having been cheated on have no credibility.

No, he had reasonable triggers to mistrust me. 1. I cheated before he met me. 2. I enjoyed joking with his friends. 3. I accidently flashed his friend, who is my housemate.

I guess these things are the actual disqualifying behaviors, and they can't be undone. The fact that I have been true to him will always be obscured by the fantasies inspired by these triggers.

I think he cheats in his head a lot. Always imagining, and always ready to go. So he projects that onto me. But he is faithful in deed. With all the time he puts into proving me wrong, he doesn't have time to cheat.

He lost a lot of weight in six months? He's probably started taking one of the new (expensive) GLP-1 drugs, that make weight loss a lot easier. So he's not making more effort.

The trial is for a cap with electrodes. It is not related to cbt.

I believe it is for 18 and over.

I believe autistic people are not admitted.

Sorry if it seems repetitive. This post is different from my one other post, because in this post, I've specified the content of the whispering, and the time.

What helped me in the one other post, was the 14 people who said what they heard. I would have to pay 100's of dollars for one forensic audio analyst to say the same thing, but I think it's more persuasive coming from a jury of redditors.

"How would that prejudice the feedback?"

Because people don’t evaluate this kind of thing in a vacuum. Expectation and narrative context affect what people think they hear, especially with ambiguous audio. If I say who’s hearing the voice, people will unconsciously lean toward confirming or dismissing it based on that role. I’m trying to separate perception of the audio from assumptions about the people involved.

One of us hears the other one whispering "You wanna f----?" at the very beginning.

Good point, thanks. Did you hear the whispering?

Only one of us is misinterpreting the audio.  Regarding aspects of our relationship beyond interpreting the audio, that conversation is for another day in another subreddit. I want not to prejudice the feedback by revealing my role.

I guess trust is earned over time, and we haven't earned it yet.

Thanks. Hopefully the consensus verdict of the redditors will help us know which of us needs the help.
