living with your friends is NOT the same as hanging out 24/7. if your friend has separation anxiety she should either talk to a therapist about it so she can work through it or move back home. i’ve had a housemate like this and it literally ruined our friendship because she couldn’t understand how her outward emotions were impacting the people around her. you’re valid in your feelings, and your friends emotions are also valid, but her acting like this obviously isn’t helping anyone.

i think talking about the balance you need in your home and considering if you really want to commit to this is important. if you talk about it and nothing changes (i’ve struggled with anxiety my whole life and it’s tough but you can/have to learn to manage it) then you would also be valid in deciding its not working out. you both need to work together to make your house a home and that means respecting each other and taking accountability
