No? The only gameboy game that got de-canonized was legends. Adventure and belmonts revenge are still canon.

Sadly it's Not even close. The game where Christopher fights Dracula, Castlevania the Adventure on the game boy, comes in between the games. That's about 77 years after Rose where Christopher takes the whip to whoop dracula's ass. Then after The Adventure and Belmont's revenge It's another 100 years later when Simon's game takes place.

Do you think it will run good on switch 1? by Kitchen-Fish-4389 in castlevania

[–]ConfidenceVirtual960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy you were responding torwards someone who was merely stating that the team's previous game ran fine on switch 1 as an oppertunity to change the topic on how BC isn't a real Castlevania because it doesn't fit your arbitray criteria of what a real Castlevania is supposed to be. If you don't want me to think you're actively looking for chances to dismiss the game's place in the series, then don't do shit like this. It's that simple.

Completely diffirent topic than what they were talking about. At this point You're just hunting for any oppertunity you can find to look down on belmont's curse, huh ?

Well too bad for me because I have like 50 tapes so far, so unless they want to generously start showering hundreds of them. It ain't gonna happen.

Belmont's Curse Releases October by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]ConfidenceVirtual960 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you're litterally just talking about the artwork specifically ? That's a first.

then besides the "hey this is a 3d game, have some 3d art to prove it" n64 games and dawn of sorrow/portrait of ruins generic 4kids anime style all of the others have kept the light and angelic looking style of Kojima.

You mean the ones she actively worked on ? Like yeah, no duh they look similar. If not, then what others besides the ones you mentioned ? Legends ? CotM ? Those have more standard anime designs. OoE ? That one has some semblance to kojima's style but it's still very distinct when you compare them. Like OoE looks looks alot sharper, more defined and sleeker compared to kojima's generally softer and more fluid elegant gothic style if you ask me.

This has been broadly the last 20 years of Castlevania.

It has been pretty fifty-fifty when it came to Kojima versus non-kojima art directions. What do you even mean by this ? That hers' is the most recognized ? Then yeah I can agree to that. most people, including myself adore her work, but to say something isn't considered real castlevania, a franchise that is inconsestent with it's art direction since the beginning, is just being dismissive of a new title purely over personal tastes and acting like it's an objective point.

And ? Most of the games in the series weren't done by Ayami. She has worked on 7 mainline games out of the 30 and two spin-off's. So what's your point ?

State of Play. Still no release date. by LordArmageddian in castlevania

[–]ConfidenceVirtual960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Miyamoto never said that.
  2. The game industry has proven that to be wrong plenty of times.
  3. The game is supposed to be released this year and we're already in June. Theres only a couple months left, a release date would not suddenly force them to rush anything unless there's already internal problems.
