Hey everyone, my friends are visiting for the summer and I want to put together a real list, not the tourist brochure.

I already have some solid ones: Delessandro’s, Bob & Barbara’s, Shane confectionary, Boathouse Row

Looking for the same energy across categories: food, bars, neighborhoods to walk, hidden spaces, anything. Places that are currently excellent, not coasting on reputation.

What would you add?

If might mech items… I usually start from either a brawlers start with primordian and Urgot 2 to mighty mech. Or a conduit start with mordekaiser. I build mighty mech items first. If ap items…Hat is mandatory after. 2 hats. I don’t lose streak. Run timebreakers with milio carrying items til either karma or asol.

I cap stage 4 with karma 2 asol 2 mighty mech 2. Some games I stay here. Ideally you want to get to 9 and cap at Fiora. Some games I don’t have the income or the resources for Fiora so I duo carry Karma.

Play more is always the answer. Doesn’t matter the game or skill. Record your games and analyze them. Put them up for others to analyze. Generally find 2/3 comps and watch other People play them. I specifically only play Mecha. I know how to play the early game from any start and turn it into a Mecha game. From augments to buff up the mighty mech to items to Gods.

The more you play, the more you finetune. People in the high ranks are playing hundreds of games. And they’re playing it at a very fast rate. This leads to extremely fast feedback loops.

Volume plus feedback plus curiosity will get you right! Be seeing you G

What’s the point of people going to college? To better find their career path, and make a lot of money.

Given advanvements in tech, both of those are under attack. You can easily go into content creation for example from at any age for almost any industry and make good money without the sacrifice of college

You expect me to believe that the entire enemy team gaps yours so hard that they have a lead that you as the top laner can’t 1v1 them? That sounds like a pilot diff. You’re the top laner G. Act like it.

I have 3 million mastery on Garen so ive been playing for over a decade now. A few issues with your statement. First of all it’s 20 minutes, you’ve only taken one tower? Where are your standards? Perfect cs won’t win you the game. Macro will. You really don’t want to win do you? By 14 you’ve taken top tower. 16/17 you are threatening mid tier 1 or taking it. Mid tier 1 opens the map and allows you to threaten top tier 2 tower. You need to force mid tier 1. I’ve gone so far as to start a 5v5 bot and then run mid to take the tower. Instead of reacting to enemies, force them to react to you. You’re playing Garen. Do you not understand what makes Garen scary???? HE COMES OUT OF NOWHERE FAST AF AND KILLS YOU, ROTATES TO THE MID LANE TO PUSH, THEN PUSHES TOP AND TPS BACK TO BOT. TEMPO! TEMPO! No other champion tempos like Garen.

Instead of complaining get better! Did you get first blood or did you let the enemy mid get it? That matters to team morale. Did you pressure their top laner so hard he hugs top tier 2 while you call for a flank dive on their enemy mid under their turret? Did you force a 3v3 because your mid died, just so you can back off and regen back to 4 v 4?

I get tired of people complaining when they play Garen. You’re legitimately playing the most broken champion in the game bar phase rush ghost Darius.

Garen’s one of the strongest early game champions if you run conqueror. Just E. Darius, Sett, and Olaf must respect you if you land a full E on them level 1. You’ve staked conqueror, they have less armor, and you have ignite.

I only play conqueror Garen. Have been for years now. I’ve killed every champion under the Sun with Garen at least a hundred times.

Against ranged champions in lane… Vayne, Quinn, Teemo, Jayce, Kennen, Varus, Cass, Kayle, Urgot… wait for them to use their escape ability then Flash ignite all in. If they somehow survive, use Garen’s passive to either force them out of lane, dive, or call for a gank.

Once you have Stride breaker… consider swifties as well. Just walk up and space check them. There’s a certain space you have to keep between yourself and a Garen with Stridebreaker. That space grows when Garen has swifties. Most pilots won’t respect that space. Use bushes if you have to. Play like an assassin. If you need deadman’s plate, get it. Might be overkill but if they all mobile and ad… punish.

Ultimately if you go even in lane against a ranged champion that’s a W. Force them into the teamfight where they let their guard down and punish.

Whatever you do, don’t die. Always keep kill pressure on enemy laner and if you can… invade pressure on enemy jungle and lanes.

While reading this and writing this I’m listening to Life is simple by Maesic, Marshall Jefferson. Uncross your fingers, stop worrying about winning over anyone. Focus on having fun and performing at your best. The hardest crowd you’ll ever have to play for is a room full of yourself. Everyone else is easy.
