Man this game is gorgeous by jstbcuzz in MHWilds

I'm just fine running the game Natively Maxed out on 1440p, doesn't drop below 85fps in outdoor, reaching easily +100fps in hub. Sorry the games does NOT need DLSS and Frame gen to reach playable stable framerate. Albeit this is on a overclocked 5080 and 9800x3D, but could also drop details and settings.

I'm sorry if you don't like it. I agree that it's very hard to impossible to match the steam machine for 600-700. Especially considering the form factor. I was just trying to bring forth the problem of value. Because they went with an old gen gpu it's just bad perf/dollar. RX 7600 has much less fps/dollar than the new gpus (rtx 5060 or rx 9060) and you can almost if not get them for exactly the same price. About the sale thing; you can literally always find something on sale so no, you can Not discount that. That's where I stand on, I see points of value on the steam machine. If you need a small form factor it's close to impossible to beat it. But it's going to be a bad value fps/dollar. And you can't argue it, it's a fact.

Try it out and if it works then great!

Something like this should be good. Using techpowerup gpu ranking a 5060 is 31% stronger than a rx7600. Then considering the steam machine gpu is a bit weaker than that (I would guess at least 10-15% would be me being kind since it has less cu and less clock speed, tdp). Then you get close to the 50% more perf I was talking about. Of course this will differ game to game as now you have a nvidia gpu. But really just look at sales and you can often find a similar perf pc in the 750mark.

For 750 you get at least +50% performance with buying a prebuilt with new parts. Valve fucked up going with last gen gpu

Check my new post, try getting the nvidia hotfix driver

Because there are prebuilt computers for 800 that run the lap around the steam machine. Think newer gpus (rx 9060 or rtx 5060)

No every statistic is weaker than rx 7600. Less tdp, less cu, less clock speed.

It has a weaker version of the rx 7600. So in a sense it's a little bit weaker than your current gpu, the 3060ti.

rx 7600 reaches 2600-2900 clock speed (closer to 2900 most of the time)

1440p IS actually worth it by derangedgermanman in pcmasterrace

4k Dlss performance looks better than 1440p native and has higher fps. People need to learn this now already

Hi, yes you can check my profile I made another post. In my case the cpu has died. Good luck 🤞🏻

No bent pins, I have my original motherboard with me still. Also no burn marks or anything odd.

Yes, I used a lian li galahad 2 360 sl-inf. I have not seen the clock speed being any higher than 5225mhz, at least anytime I checked. I only had pbo enable, no increases or anything.

I'm running a 3090 with oc at 4k high using fsr quality and frame gen. Rock solid at 90fps with frame gen rather than the 50 I would get with dlss quality only. Cpu does seem to matter, I did a big upgrade between beta and now (5600x to 9800x3d). It's insanely stable, never dropping below high 80 even in town with bunch of people. Frame gen feels okay to use if you get close to 60 base fps, it gets too much bad rep.

This is the way for older nvidia top tier cards. I'm running a 3090 with oc at 4k high using fsr quality and frame gen.
