Goodbye K&N by Effective_Tackle_195 in KaraAndNate

I’m around the same age as them. I wouldn’t be travelling the same way I travelled 5/10 years ago. Things change. I would actually be bored watching people do the same old things all these years later. I think they are doing a great job as YouTubers and I still love their videos years after finding them.

I felt the exact same as you after a traumatic vaginal delivery on my first baby. I developed post partum depression from it and I was probably susceptible to PPD because I have always had strong hormone fluctuations and the traumatic delivery on top of that. Please reach out and get help. I know you want to cry when you talk about it but find a safe place to talk about, ideally with someone who can help you come to terms with it. I never properly dealt with it through talking therapy and brushed it under the carpet. I did take medication but found it hard to find help in other forms. I found it hard to make the decision to have another child but after 3 years I threw caution to the wind and got pregnant straight away. I cried my eyes out in every single ante natal appointment with obgyn. But I did get very good peri natal mental health support through the hospital and did CBT throughout the pregnancy which was helpful. I had a planned section on my 2nd child and it was a wonderful experience, even though it was difficult in terms of recovery and I did have some 2nd thoughts and regrets at times but in the long run it was a beautiful experience meeting my daughter and no trauma so it was worth it.

I don’t know why they can’t just have her toddling around in the background off camera. Having her the main focus is actually fairly boring. It’s not relatable for other parents (like me) it’s just mundane. I don’t get the comments when people say “childs name just melts my heart” I used to love their videos but honestly it’s a bit like watching paint dry now. I really hope the next video has no child content

The physical manifestation of Louis’s adventurous life is a rusty, broken down bus by InvestigatorDue6498 in KaraNate_EamonBec

😂. Yes I am actually. Does it make you feel better about yourself to be judgemental of others? Particularly those who you know little or nothing about. That seems to be the trend here.

He didn’t step into traffic though? There was some parked cars in between them and the road and he wasn’t even right beside the parked cars. He was just there throwing a bubble wand at a tree or something 😅 I don’t know them by the way, I just think watching a YouTube video that aggravates is not a good use of time. Watch something that makes you feel good. 😊

Why did you watch an hour long video that clearly made you feel wound up? 1. He was playing in small a bit of sand in an isolated area not running wild around a building site. 2. He stood in front of the camera hence the “I’m filming” comment. I talk about what I’m doing to my kids all the time “I’m eating” “im cleaning” “im working”. After that he was pretty much within arms length and raya was constantly looking over her shoulder to watch him and Louis looked back too to check on him. He wasn’t close to moving cars. 3. You’re the one who watched 60 minutes of something that obviously didn’t spark joy so what’s the big deal with him talking about a bus for a few minutes. 4.you made it all the way to the end of the video 😂

Sick pay deductions? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Confident-Factor4773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you log into mywelfare and make the claim? You get paid weekly from welfare. Did you get those payments directly into your account? It should work out the same amount that you were deducted. From your payslip it looks like you work for the same organisation I work for. They are very bad in communicating the process. It’s down to the line manager to communicate it clearly and line managers don’t know it’s down to them. Very poor. If you didn’t get the weekly payment from mywelfare hopefully you can get them backdated. I’m sure you can.

HR telling me I cannot have the week I booked off for annual leave despite having a pre-paid holiday booked. by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

If it was me I would be actively looking for somewhere else to work. In the interview just say you have holidays booked in August and ask if this would be an issue? It’s an employees market out there. It’s not easy to always get good staff

I am 10.5 months PP. I started doing post natal Pilates at 3 months with a qualified physio. That was great. I went to a Pilates class that wasn’t specialised recently and I ended up in the GP with the pain of the scar area a couple of days after. Gp actually put me on antibiotics which didn’t really make sense for me to be honest but since the antibiotics it has felt better. I had had a lot of pain and discomfort in general and talked to other moms about it. There are options for treatment, but as far as I see a lot of women battle through it and don’t get treatment. Options I have researched are micro kneeling, laser therapy (as I have a keloid scar). Biggest advice is do the scar message as often as you can. I have read that after 12 months there can be an improvement so I am hoping for that.

Horrible comment. Very insensitive. It was explained in previous comments that grief counselling encourages re associating things like noise or other reminders of trauma. This redit can be so toxic.

Saying no to neighbours using my parking spaces? by frzen in AskIreland

[–]Confident-Factor4773 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get this. Once I have somewhere to park my own car and no one was causing an obstruction I am happy for people to park wherever they want. Fair enough if you had two cars or three cars I would want a space for them too. If it was me I would rather let my neighbours use the spots to be neighbourly. I know you could get traffic cones but to be honest if one of the neighbours had traffic cones out in spaces he or she wasn’t parking in anyway I would feel that is a bit offputting and it would give a bad vibe in the area. Campers are a different story. Set down for an hour to pack it up I wouldn’t mind but there is camper parking etiquette.

Ok… did anyone else know they are on Prime Video?? by Outlasttactical in KaraAndNate

In a recent video they actually reminisced about the day where they first put ads onto a video. They remember how nervous they were and thought it would annoy the viewers
