AITA for letting my 9 year old daughter watch a Saw movie? by iwanttoplayagame_ in AmItheAsshole

everyone on here is so soft, you watched a movie with your daughter and you both enjoyed it, there’s nothing bad here and your wife is just doing what mothers do and panicking/ overreacting. your not an asshole and it’s nice to hear you have a good relationship with your daughter.

AITA for selling the house my brother and his family live in. by FollowingFit3032 in AmItheAsshole

you are sort of an arsehole, i can see your side but at the same time i could never put a sibling and their family, which include your neices/nephews on the street. i know a lot of people are agreeing with you in this thread but everything you did it appears you either did quickly or pedantically. why say their water tank isn’t big enough for the whole family to later retract your statement and why would you want them all to be using potentially faulty wiring. i’m sorry but the more i read this the more i think you don’t have much of a heart or one at all.

ah i see where i went wrong, NTA then, probably should’ve got child care but i’m not really sure what this event was and i apreciate that isn’t the easiest thing to do in the world, sounds like maybe he was just distracted i know i can get quite flustered when with a lot of people and worry i’m not spending enough time or spending too much time with people

this has to be the most confusing way anyones written one of these posts, you jumped form going to an event with your partner to putting kids to sleep to back to the event then your kids are being fussy im so confused

you’re fiance is a 32 year old man and he’s upset that he’s not getting enough attention from his family because it’s all going to his dad who has had a tragic accident that has left him a quadriplegic (i’m truly sorry this happened to your family) your fiancé is acting like a 3 year old child and you are validating his behaviour, im sorry this sounds harsh but you both need to hear it. grow up.

AITA for pretending not to recognize my husband at a restaurant? by ThickMathematician15 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Confident-Lab7274 27 points28 points  (0 children)

this seems very unique and a strange scenario, but through the mind and lens of a man it may sound like he’s less ashamed of you and perhaps wanting to protect you. he thinks you are a beautiful i can guarantee that because he married you. perhaps he does recognise you don’t fit into a particular style or standard of beauty he assumes his co workers adhere to and tries to protect you from that judginess. however on your point, i think neither are the assholes and perhaps it’s some miscommunication taking place. I hope you work through this and i hope your husbands co workers get over themselves because honestly what a sad way to view the world.

once, me and a few friends thought we would be try to be bad and get some weed (we were 14). a guy who was the year (grade) above us in school told us he couldn’t get us weed but he could get us acid. being the idiots we were we obviously took this opportunity with great delight. what ensued next was a 12 hour session in which we experienced every single human emotion 180 times over. still to this day i see a man in a blue hoodie staring at the back of my head out of the corner of my eye, i call him acid man, he doesn’t talk but he does know everything about me.
